Canada says what happened to Gaza aid convoy is 'a nightmare'

Minister of Foreign Affairs Melanie Joly said the deaths of dozens of Palestinians waiting for an aid convoy in Gaza was "a nightmare."

  Gaza health authorities said more than 100 Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli forces. Israel challenged the death toll and said many of the victims were run over by aid trucks.

There is no more "Canada says" about anything anymore.
- Canada is the state, not the people. Someone speaking on behalf of the state said this, and that is what the headline reports.
  
  Sure, but there used to be a stronger sense of national identity. In the face of horrors or struggle. We used to condemn Nazis almost universally. We rolled up our sleeves en masse to eliminate smallpox. Streetheart was topping our radio charts!
