I messed up the end-game... (spoilers)
So I finally got to the end of the "galaxy reset" mission. I chose "Eissentam" and was transported to the new galaxy... and then I immediately repaired my ship, summoned the Space Anomaly, and used their Teleportation Terminal to get home... I left no base computer or anything behind. How screwed am I?

Not at all!
When you request a cab a channel is opened for you and you fill in a short form with some relevant details, including your NMS friend code.
Your cabbie will provide theirs too. You add each other, and the cabbie joins your game.
They go to your chosen system while you go to the Anomaly. When you fly out of the Anomaly it asks which system you want to go to. You choose your cabbie’s system, then you’re there! We provide instructions all the way through.
Some cabbies have portals in all galaxies (I’m up to 90) so we can take you anywhere, in any game mode and any galaxy.
This service is provided for free because we like helping people.
Yeah, that sucks. Only way back now is through the center again.
If you remember what galaxy it was you can get someone here who has a base there to taxi you back over.
I'm glad you found your way back -- but here's a few little nuggets for the future: there are several different well-trodden shortcuts that can help you reduce the time it takes to get from one galaxy to the next. I have one save with base computers in every (ahem) accessible galaxy; once I got my stride, I think I was speeding through galaxies in as little as twenty minutes each or so. (Click on the spoiler below, if you'd like to read more about how to do that -- but be warned, those spoiler tags are there for a reason!)
There are also strategies you can use to reduce the repair costs of each jump. (Care for another spoiler?)
