  • boy, every time I think I’ve found the client that’s gonna be my go-to, I find another that impresses me. your app is absolutely on top of its game!

As much as I love swipe actions, I really really really love how easy it is to go back to a feed from a post in liftoff since actions aren’t tied to swiping. If you ever decide to change this, I hope you’ll leave an option in to revert it. (Pulse for squabbles also went the “anti-swipe” route and it’s been eye-opening to compare apps based on this feature alone)

Liftoff also handles instance navigation sooo well. The ability to see front pages for instances you aren’t a member of from inside an app is an awesome feature that no other app I’ve tried has offered (the only post I’ve made is requesting this exact thing…). Dunno if it’s intended to work this way but if you add an instance on the login form but just don’t login, it’ll still show up in the drop-down allowing you to view the local/all feeds for it.

Can’t wait to see what else you have planned! The newest update with themes isn’t even the version I have yet so excited about that.

    Thanks so much!

  • Loving the primary colour option! The default was the only thing I wasn't keen on in the app, and now I can jazz it up as I see fit. Awesome! Keep up the fine work 😎

  • Amazing work! Thanks for the lightning fast updates. That keyboard opening bug was annoying

  • I had been waiting for Boost for Lemmy to arrive but Liftoff is so nice I may be tempted to stay here long term.

  • Very impressive how far this app has come in a few updates. Seriously well done.

  • It's the best app for lemmy imho, thanks for the good work!

I love that it's the only one that allows me to select text like RIF, I wish there was a setting to make it selectable by default on long press!

  • Added core support for deep links like liftoff://lemmy.world/c/liftoff (shocklateboy92)

I find this idea really cool (and intriguing) - though can't help but feel it's a bit limited - it'd be cool if all the lemmy app developers could come up with a common scheme for lemmy links as an unofficial 'standard' so the same 'deep' link could be used across all apps (where compatible)

  • Are there plans or possibly a way I just haven't figured out, to have comment replies and DMs send push notifications/alerts and at least basic moderation tools (stickying, locking, removing posts in communities you mod in)? I think Liftoff is perfect for me, it's just missing these two things. I've worked around notifications but just having Connect in the background, but I prefer everything else about Liftoff, and no app I've seen this far on Android has tools to moderate either, so I hope it is something in the pipe.

    • We've added modlog in the latest release. And basic mod actions are coming.

Additionally notifications are really close to being done
