From the makers of the unwinnable jungle war and it’s unasked-for sequel, the unwinnable mountain war comes the brand new unwinnable jungle-mountain war.
a ground invasion will be the worst boondoggle since vietnam if not even worse
I don't know, arms companies really want to sell weapons
Andruil has pivoted to clothing and walkmans: https://www.andurilgear.com/
I’m in the nothing-ever-happens camp tbh.
Calling it now; the US will bomb a few more fishing boats, get bored, declare victory, and go home.
Ground invasion is out of the question, a couple weeks of aerial bombardment, most likely
Chance of actually overthrowing Maduro, 0%
Ground invasion is out of the question
We said the same thing about Ukraine back in the day. It seems to me as though the people in charge are incredibly arrogant about what they can get away with. It's not like popularity or approval rating seems to matter a whole lot to them right now
We said the same thing about Ukraine back in the day
Ukraine didn't require a massive amphibious operation, neither did Iraq for that matter, we can't compare apples and the equivalent of a prickly cactus, the geography of Venezuela is a deathtrap for ground forces coming in from the coast, without the Colombian border route open, the US has no chance of a viable ground based assault
Ukraine is flatter than me on Estrogen. It's incredibly easy to just roll on in there.
Venezuela is incredibly mountainous, including its coastline. Even an amphibious landing would be very difficult.
Its a lot of tall mountains, and narrow river valleys. The white guy who named it, called it Venezuela because it reminded him of Venice, Italy.
Hey guys its really important to not support Maduro okay?
If Maduro has a million supporters, then I am one of them. If Maduro has ten supporters, then I am one of them. If Maduro has only one supporter then that is me. If Maduro has no supporters, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Maduro, then I am against the world.
at this point its just a matter of when.
i would bet whenever they find a way to make venezuelans attack first. trump is really doing it.
i hate this shit.
But isn't this effectually a declaration of war?
things start to get interesting when two military vessels exchange ammunition.
i think the key here is how venezuela was trying its best to have this not happen. the us has technically declared war a few times already.
Gulf of Tonkin incident v2 is just gonna be some fisherman that casts a line within 2 kilometers of a destroyer
Didn't the oil fields of America's vassals in the Middle East originally belong to the UK or America as well? I wonder how they're handling this excuse; if perhaps they're making the same mistake of 'Oh America would NEVER invade US! We're their SPECIAL friends!'
In Iran it was British Petroleum. Yes you are correct
may every soldier of empire die screaming
Vietnam + iraq = the forever war that finally breaks the back of empire?
Senile cunt
ableism
edit: my bad, I assumed on your use of slur
Absolutely fair
Wait I'm confused, what did they mean instead?
Does this mean we're in the avatar timeline?
