Thats the dream! haha Glad you could do it
I have the same problem. Got a teaching job while in the middle of my phd and now i just end up doing preparations for the following classes, grading exams and so on, and never get around to working on my phd. Ive found no good solution though. If I work on my phd I leave my students waiting and with more improvised classes, if i work on material for the students I forget about my phd subject.
Ive tried using an app called superproductivity, which is on fdroid and works fine, but it didnt help me as much as i hoped...
Send help :( Also got long term personal stuff id like to work on, like at least an hour a week, but theres always something urgent from work that shows up and takes my time or leaves me too tired.
Learning to do things yourself is exercise for your brain. It doesnt matter that you wont apply that exact skill later, but being well exercised youll be fit to more easily solve problems in the future. Dont underestimate the destructive impact that outsourcing your cognition can have on your brain.
You can also share access to your phones entire filesystem with kde connect, so you can browse you phones storage from dolphin as if ot was connected through usb and copy entire folders to/from you phone.
Maybe kubuntu has some weird firewall default settings. When i tried using opensuse some years ago, it took me quite some time to figure out that it was its firewall that wasnt letting me use my printer and some other stuff i cant remember
I have an instance on my phone running 24/7 which does the bridge. But i dont use much storage, i mainly work with text files, so the pc at work syncs with my phone, and when i get home my own pc gets the files from my phone immediatly. Its been working really well for years for me.
Its good, i started using it because it allows you to inverts the colors, so you can turn your pdfs into white text on black background.
Make some pancake
They probably cant do this unilaterally. Maybe gog paid for those copies and they are limited in quantity.
Cool site, didnt know about it
Its infuriating to be visiting some family member, having a conversation with simeone, and have to talk over the noise of a TV that they have almost always on. I usually take the remote and at least lower the volume. But eventually someone comes into the room and goes "why is the tv so low?" and raises it again... Why?? We're having a conversation, youre not even watching this shit... So frustrating
Their discovery algorithm will soon degenerate into mostly showing you cheap AI music. I think we better go back to looking for new music ourselves, talk to people, search online, look up people talking about the music you already know and like to find clues about other related music they mention beside it.
....
Have you tried brazil?
Theres SiYuan that is open source and is in the same spirit as notion, obsidian,... (regarding usability)
I had a feeling my comment had a noble purpose :)
Considering that drinking coffee is my prefered kind of laxative, i would argue theres actually no distinction between coffee and shit.
Get into taking news slowly. Maybe set one day in the week for you to catch up on what happened a bit. And resist the urge to go checking for news constantly. Getting news from social media make it seem like a lot is going on all the time, but its mostly a lot of noise and many rehashings of the same "news" (especially if you get them through memes in social networks). Getting news on sunday is cool because you let matters cool down a bit and people have had the time to express what has happened better (theres less journalism on the weekends I guess).
