Alright. I know no one outside of lemmy who cares about the jack, you do. Where does that leave us?

If people, not only lemmy's people and a small minority care about the jack people would buy phones with jacks, there are good options but very few people do.
Most people actually like and prefere bluethooth.
Same for ROMs, when was the last time you said "wow, I sure miss custom roms" and the whole room went "meeetooo". Hell, most people don't even know what a custom rom is.
This is not what "the people want" is "what lemmy thinks everyone ones, but is actually only them circle jerking".

That sounds quite possible, AI features on phones/OSs go mostly unused –according to my study, which has a sample of size who the hell knows and a methodology of I feel–.
But llms I think, although burning money, are quite accepted by the people who touch them, and do not understand what is actually going on or don't care if the thing is wrong often.
I sometimes use llms, but only to burn thru monkey work that I can fast and easily review and do if the result is too shity. But that is the extention of my ai use.
I had the same thought. When I was like 8 and -still at the same age- realised that I'd probably be what I actually am.
Land of the fee
Does AI comes up negative for most users? Surely here in Lemmy, yes. But out there I see/hear people using it -for dumb shit, mind you- all the time and being happy about it.
