  • That's what I don't understand about all this RTO. If a company foces me to come to the office 5 days, I might comply, but I will for sure stop working hard when I am on the office, unless I really love what I am doing, and they pay me a shit ton of money.

If a company wastes my time, I'll waste theirs.

  • Looking up the source, they state: "At the turn of the century, a flat screen TV would cost around 17% of the median income of the time ($42,148). In the early aughts though, prices began to fall quickly. Today, a new TV will cost less than 1% of the U.S. median income ($54,132)."

So a Flat screen TV used to cost around $7165, and does now cost around $541, which is about 7.5% of the original value. That means a deflation by 92.5%.

  • That argument is stupid, because usually people need a reason to save for. Now rent is so high that people can barely save, and houses are so expensive that even if they do and get a credit with their staggering student debt, they'll never be able to afford it.

So what do people do? they just enjoy the small things, because they know they'll never have the big ones.

  • If he actually did it, he should rot in jail like any other murderer. If it can be proven that he didn’t, he didn’t he should walk free. That’s how it should be. That is how civilized people work.

I think you got it a little mixed up. The state needs to have it proven that he did in fact commit that murder, and not leave any doubt about it. It's really not his job to prove anything, let alone that you can't prove innocence in a lot of cases.

  • I think politics need to be interesting for people to vote. If the expected outcome is that everything only worsens a bit, you'll never get people to vote for you. So by leaning right, she basically tried to appease the conservatives, but made progressives lose interest. I don't think that anyone (or a substancial number) on the left tried to "own" her.

Hopefully there will be next elections, and hopefully there will be a party worthy of voting for it.

(Also disclaimer, I am not american, and am just objectively stating the obvious)
