I understand what you mean, but if I read it correctly the articles said that he was her husband for 50 years. Assuming they got married at 20, he would now be 70, so 20 years means that most likely the rest of his miserable life will be in prison.

VP has no such power, what they were trying to do in 2021 was to make Pence do it and hope it would be unchallenged. And if someone challenged it hoping that conservative court would side with Republicans like they did in 2001.
VP doesn't have that power. Republicans were hoping Pence would do it anyway and then battle would go to courts and conservative SCROTUS would agree.
Until 2021 that date had no special meaning and it was just mostly ceremonial.

I don't support it, but keep in mind that this is just authorization of sale. Israel will get weapons one way or another, and if you care about Ukraine it probably is better if it won't pay Russia to get them.

That's true. They already evolved and most of us didn't even realize. News feeds were added and gradually evolved to use information they know about is to push our buttons and affect our behavior and beliefs.
They still needed content, but with generative AI that's no longer necessary, this is why social media companies are so invested in it.
Social media is no longer social it became a platform to manipulate people. It is much worse than traditional ways of propaganda, because each person gets their customized feed tuned to issues that are more likely to influence them.
