Lol at all the downvotes. You have to be careful on lemmy. 85% of users here read everything literally, no matter how obvious the sarcasm is. Most of them see your comment as a genuine defense of Elon. “Elon is not a muppet! We’ve seen him moving and talking independently without wires. He’s obviously an actual human with agency, so it’s not rude to criticize him.”
The only thing bad about it is the presentation. Making it look like a cake and serving it in slices is playing games with people’s expectations of what sweet and savory are supposed to look like. We’d have no problem with these same ingredients served as finger sandwiches.
Anyone thinking this is real (“dOnt TheaTeN mE wiTh a gOOd tIMe”, “They’re trying to scaremonger”) is a fucking moron. Republicans are evil and often stupid, but not stupid enough to word an ad like that. They’re well aware that “corporations and wealthy owners” has a negative connotation and “workers and the public” has a positive one. Please be more skeptical.
The story is fake on its face. It involves so much more than a wild animal waiting until it’s safe to cross the street. A coyote supposedly learned the difference between the crosswalk symbols, understood the connection between the button and the symbols, and learned and bothered to use them. Then, when humans gathered hours of video footage of this miracle, they only showed us a single grainy still image.
I’m disappointed in some of the comments here (not you - the whole comment section). People need to be more skeptical.
