In the most recent protest we know that they were directly involved because they openly admitted it. They smuggled guns to people on the ground who then attacked police and military targets. This is not normal for a society either.
That's the context in which Iran kills "protesters". It's far more complicated than you seem to want to acknowledge.
But let's revisit this in a year and see if Iran is better off.
Obviously in any society there are going to be people who hate their leaders and want them dead. The question is who do we give voice to? Who gets shown on our TVs and social media feeds, and who is silenced? That's what makes it propaganda.
Also, is Libya better off after the imperialists killed Qaddafi? Is that what you want for Iran?
We already outsource parenting to the government when we send our kids to public school. We send children to complete strangers to be educated because we don't have time to do it ourselves.
It's not just a limited sample, it's a biased sample. That makes it worse than useless for gauging public opinion.
You wouldn't keep contact with the kinds of people in Iran that respected and supported Khamenei; they wouldn't want to talk to you and you wouldn't want to talk to them. This is the equivalent of people who think Thing is popular because everyone in their social circle loves Thing, and thing Other Thing is unpopular because everyone they know hates Other Thing. Worse than useless.
Consider that the people you have contact with might not actually be representative of the average Iranian, and that's coloring your perception of the situation. Everyone you know is not a random sample, it's literally limited by who you get to know.
It's a signal for what they want to do to the program, and the government has a lot of ways to pressure Scouts to make it happen. It's a distraction until it becomes reality, like all the other evil Nazi shit they do. This is how they signal their future plans, just like forcing us out of sports and forcing us into the wrong bathroom and taking away our identification paperwork and putting us in men's prisons and then taking away our hormones when we're in prison. They push push push until they get what they want.

Holding parents accountable for what they allow their children to be exposed to would, in fact, reduce the number of children being exposed to harmful things. The question is, do we focus on the punishment side or the prevention side? On the punishment side we find the parents that let their children watch idk ISIS gore videos and imprison them. On the prevention side we force parents to install parental control software, like mandating locks on gun safes if there are children in the home.
