Well, guess I can't go to the Netherlands because of a sticker on my laptop now
I remember a subreddit called "Belgicaans". It's basically a place where we would converse in sentences that combined our three native languages (Dutch, French and German). Was very funny to do actually! But speaking like that? No, never

not quite my punchline... well played tho now give me a double time swing
Yes, this! No annoying purists in the cassette community (they might be there, tho, but haven't encountered any yet so there's that)
Oh I do have a lot of records as well, but cassettes have their charm as well! It's easy to take them on the go (provided you have a walkman, which ALSO has its charm hahaha) and a lot cheaper than records. I like to collect my music on physical media, and cassettes make that very easy for me. A lot of the more "underground"/indie bands I listen to still release their music on tape as well. Plus, it's very satisfying, indeed. I didn't really grow up with cassettes (I'm 27), but nonetheless it has a certain feel to it.

Is there a community for cassette culture?
What the title says, basically. On reddit there's r/cassetteculture but for the moment I can't find anything like that on lemmy. Would be nice to have a community like this here! If there isn't one, should I create it? I don't have that much experience with moderating or hosting communities, so I'm not sure about it at the moment...
I think that was their point... to call out the use of facial recognition

unrelated but FOUND THE GIZZ HEAD!
buy an emulator (miyoo mini plus, if I could suggest one) and have fun!
I've ridden it for quite some time before the drivechain bent and I built up a newer bike and took off some parts. Been checking it for over two years now to see if I could find anything to identify it, but no luck yet... I think measuring it will be the endgame here, but would be nice to know the history of the bike nonetheless

ID on frame

Hi! I have this beautiful old frame (the white one) that I want to rebuild to a city/pub bike, but will need to research a few things first (tire clearance, bottom bracket etc.) I'd need the brand for that, but can't find anything. Anyone got any ideas?
EDIT: I think I've found it! My guess it's this Diamond from 1991. Now to find the specs somewhere!
