  • The article is not claiming that food colouring causes neurodiverdancy. The summary of the article states:

Excluding artificial food colors from children’s diets can improve ADHD symptoms.

It then goes on to explain that food colouring can affect the behaviour of young children, including those with ADHD.

This time, researchers found that artificial colors and other food additives in processed foods appeared to exacerbate hyperactive behaviors—inattention, impulsivity, and overactivity—among young children, with more pronounced effects in three-year-olds relative to eight-or nine-year-olds.

But what happens in children already diagnosed with ADHD if you remove artificial food colors? In a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials for dietary interventions for ADHD, excluding artificial food colors from the diet significantly improved behavior.

  • Good point, though I'd argue even federated social media can prove addictive.

‘It made my day more meaningful’: the Japanese gen Zers attempting a two-hour limit on smartphone use

  • Given the number of upvotes and comments on this post, I think there's definitely an appetite for it if you wanted to create it on Lemmy World. If you do create one, I'm happy to try to post things on it, and get the ball rolling.

  • Well spotted, I've updated the headline accordingly.

  • I am saying that all media has a bias, but I am not saying that doesn't matter. I'd argue that Novara Media is quite transparent about its bias.

  • There is no denying that Novara Media has a left-wing bias, however is there any news outlet that has unbiased reporting of this conflict?

  • There is no denying that Novara Media are left-wing, they proudly wear that badge. Is it possible to cover a war without opinion or an agenda?

  • Thank you, that really made my day! As much as I want to change the world, I do also love a croissant, and those two things aren't mutually exclusive. After all, several of those bakeries - E5 Bakehouse and The Dusty Knuckle - are involved in programmes helping refugees and prison leavers.

  • Australia also has a problem with monopolies, as Coles and Woolworths dominate much of the market.

  • As the article states, lots of people in the community cared for her when she was alive, and took the time to speak to her, and help her out.

It's rather simplistic to say that if people cared then she wouldn't be homeless. The government needs to build more affordable social housing to end homelessness.

  • We definitely want to get more people cycling. Drivers who park at the station are also affected, as the article states:

Car thefts will not be investigated if the vehicle has been left for more than two hours

  • Though the stores are being replaced by Whole Foods, which is also owned by Amazon.

  • Thank you for the suggestion. I guess in the scope of Lemmy maybe it's a little bit niche, but the running community in the UK is growing and growing, so there's definitely the community for it, just not on Lemmy at the moment.

  • Thank you! If I do end up creating one, I would like it on Feddit UK, so would I need someone such as yourself to create it for me?

  • So I've thought about this and what I would like to have is a UK focused running community that exists outside of Instagram, which currently is the dominant place for running content, particularly running crews. I'm quite active in the London running crew scene and there are things like shakeout races, community events that only get posted about on Instagram and I would love to share those outside of Instagram.

I'm thinking something like the hashtag #UKRunChat, but as a Lemmy community, that I would happily help moderate and manage.
