  • Breaking News: Mr. Ball Gets Testy

  • They're sooo good

  • If I may add to these excellent suggestions:

The Night Circus and The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

Go in cold, do not spoil! Enjoy with a warm beverage. The readers are phenomenal.

The Laundry Files series by local hero Charles Stross, in which it turns out that P=NP, the Great Old Ones can be summoned in polynomial time, Cthulhu ate America via regulatory capture, and the world is suffering from the magical equivalent of global warming. Our protagonists have to mitgate all of this on a British civil servant's salary.

The Quantum Thief trilogy by Hannu Rajaniemi, in which Our Regular Subjects have become a problem.

  • Pairs nicely with the latest long-form Pivot!

  • patiently cross-stitching a piece that reads "Bless This Text"

  • The Linus news has been a real downer, but you've been a solid antidote!

  • self your masto feed has been magnificent and uplifting

  • Hol up! It's kind of unfair to blame some poor soul with a PhD in Beowulf for failing the beat the fash out of a determined dickhead over the course of a single quarter. (half serious)

I mean, did Samo even complete a degree?

  • To be fair, it put several of them close to god first

Note: I don't believe any of this happened

  • I think this accidentally reinvented mormonism lol

  • But redistribution is unrealistic?!

  • I imagine Andrew brought them on day 1

  • Top-tier resume material

  • At times you need to ask yourself, does the devil need more advocates? And how much does he even pay?

    Top-rated review

  • That time we sneered into the abyss and it leered back at us

  • Ironically, I left that peer group because they wouldn’t stop platforming Bitcoiners.

That must have been a trip

  • Ugh, *yes. *

And I really do sympathise with the urge to avoid being seen as extreme (imagine being percieved! by people!) but that urge leads so many clued-in folks to pose the problem of bullshit engines as a halved-loaf problem when it's a halved-baby situation, and the opposition isnt going to give anyone credit for being nice in the newspaper.

  • Semiotic voids.

You really nailed it here; they're human slop chefs.
