Oh this is great to see. This is one of the few things I am wanting after switching from Windows. But it's more just a QoL thing. I don't really have a problem just downloading mods and copying them over.
Nice to see this project making small steps though.

There are probably even more categories they could add but one step at a time.

First off, thank you for supporting PieFed and providing us with an app that we can use. I know it's a lot of work and so far it's been decent.
I only have small minor gripes but most of them are cosmetic and could just be specific to my own taste.
- Could we add an option to show some of the 'action buttons' in compact mode? I generally prefer using compact mode as opposed to a full card. And it would be nice to be able to upvote/downvote a thread quickly. I think the compact threads are a bit crammed as is, so it might require some adjusting to make it work and look nice. Just a suggestion though.
- Not sure if we could do this already, but could we sort the communities in alphabetical order in the pull out drawer?
- The compact mode card ... the titles are always cut off at the thumb nail. Perhaps it would be better to just make the card taller to accommodate the title. They could just be varying card heights depending on the title of the thread.
- Maybe some colored text highlighting to separate either the user or instance, rather than have everything just one color.
Okay, that's it for now. Again, these are just suggestions for aesthetics and more my own personal taste. They could be something everyone else hates lol. And ofc, some of the things you mentioned already such as flairs would be nice to have ... maybe once they appear in the PieFed API.
Anyways, thanks again for all your work and finding a way for us to give feedback. I don't want to come off as demanding or anything as you don't owe us anything.

Ugh. Looks like they aren't sure what caused the crash yet. How terrifying.

Yeah, I think having a strong, vibrant mobile app ecosystem like Lemmy would go a long way. Probably the only thing keeping me back from using PieFed full time at this point. But PieFed seems really promising nonetheless!
Oh this is fantastic. I can finally bind the paddle buttons with Steam.
