No they dont. Some of the bigger unions deal with tech all the time.
Theres quite a few: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unionization_in_the_tech_sector
Incredibly bad idea having a startup mentality on these kind of services. And locking the US GOV using a private company to do all the work.
Nice thanks for posting!
Im looking for some new games for an upcoming vacation!
One place I worked at just gave people Linux computers without telling them and disabled the boot image. The job was mostly online Salesforce, so Chrome got them through everything. Imaging was a breeze. We even made it kinda look like windows. No one really commented on it. We didnt hide it from anyone but we didnt go out of our way to make a big deal out of it.
Linux works when people stop thinking of it as "Linux". Its "Android" or "Steam OS" or "My smart TV" etc.... All you need to do is rename it and suddenly they are ok with it.
Or piefed! ;)
Theres a lot of good servers both on lemmy and piefed, but the mod tools are really good on piefed.
Its exceptionally good at federation and has a unique(?) solution to multiple like communities (Topics). Topics can be lemmy communities, but can also be peertube channels. Example: https://piefed.social/topic/wholesome
It also has anonymous downvoting so you don't have the issue like lemmy where admins know exactly how everyone votes across all of lemmy.
Or instead of individual votes do a dump like an rss. Like only update when I ask every 10 minutes or so. Get everything from x - y time and just give me the totals. Probably only good for smaller instances though.
Throw it on peertube/other platforms. haha
I agree!
Other "like" tools to publer have comment/reply options so it just goes to the HR/publicist/etc... I used to be part of a fortune 500. Its the only way to actually keep up with anything. Keyword finding, etc...etc...Its all automated nowadays. Im actually not sure about publer specifically on this so im not going to say its possible or not.
At this point, most have some sort of Mastodon integration since the API was pretty simple to pull in.
It has its uses. For templeting and/or getting a small project off the ground its useful. It can get you 90% of the way there.
But the meme is SOOO correct. AI does not understand what it is doing, even with context. The things JR devs are giving me really make me laugh. I legit asked why they were throwing a very old version of react on the front end of a new project and they stated they "just did what chatgpt told them" and that it "works". Thats just last month or so.
The AI that is out there is all based on old posts and isnt keeping up with new stuff. So you get a lot of the same-ish looking projects that have some very strange/old decisions to get around limitations that no longer exist.
oh yeah def. Im going to donate if/when I take a look. sdf also has something similar.
Its a feature not a bug :)
My issue is lemmy.world (and other bigger instances) is so big that it was just slamming my tiny personal lemmy then later piefed server, so I had to give up. There was a HUGE queue of changes for my little instance of one user.
I think im going to try it out. I dont like where proton is going.
Honestly they should be using https://publer.com/ or something similar. Makes publishing and maintenance of social media very easy. If you have a large org it makes sense to publish to multiple platforms.
Im looking forward in the next 2 years when AI apps are in the wild and I get to fix them lol.
As a SR dev, the wheel just keeps turning.
You can put fail2ban to look for specific keywords and ban them if they keep trying. I did that a while back and my servers are in a much better spot. IP black/block lists also help.
Its fair, I personally like a couple (and you can find them on itch.io to see if you would like to purchase).

I can personally vouch for the two skator gator games. They were really fun to me.
Piefed mobile testing (android only ATM)
I've finally been able to compile an APK for Android, which is downloadable from https://codeberg.org/freamon/pferd/src/branch/develop/releases/pfe…
Please be nice as this is VERY beta. Thought I would share with the rest of the fedi. Looks like a passion project so again please be nice.
Teddy sleeping.
Teddy had a hard day. He's been feeling a bit sick lately. He's sleeping right now in the middle of the day. Hopefully he feels better. #dogsofmastodon #dog
