Things get too expensive and people who don't have the extra cash will find a way to spend less, or not at all. Remember this, all of you shareholders, if you price the customers out of buying your product then you've only screwed yourselves and your greed is to blame. What is wrong with a standard, healthy 10% profit?
Even the cheapest versions of entertainment were taken from the populace. Comics and movies started out as cheap entertainment for the masses. Just to spite all of those greedy corporations and tech overlords I am going to start becoming interested in, and having fun with, a stick and a rock. My stick and rock would never be offline or stop working. Of course, after submitting this comment the AI spy-bots will pick it up and inform their blood sac overlords and very soon all sticks and rocks will be bought up by big shareholders.
I get the trump issue with good hard-working Americans. This Oh!Leery guy makes me ashamed to be a Canadian. Isn't he related to the lady who burned down Chicago back in the day? /s
They learned from all of the mechanics, plumbers, construction crews and electricians. While most of the rest of the world goes broke these folks will do okay. I once called a company to look at a window that needed replacing and the first thing he said when he walked up is "Your shingles are starting to curl". I went with another company who was more reputable, charged me fairly, and did good work. It's tough out there.
I have yet to read or hear of one CEO who ever deserved a godawfully huge bonus, but they do stick together those cunning rats. While it is true that most citizens have been "capitalized" out of even the spare nickels and dimes they had kicking around, the best the CEO can do is say "Our customers don't have any money", not why they don't have any money. Fuck those big bonuses. The market is wild and out of control and has been forever so what exactly are those bonuses for...fluke profit?
