Crossing the floor seems to me to be anti-democratic. At the same time, taking a stance that you believe in, even if it goes against your fellow voters, seems honourable. Everything is shades of grey.
A buddy of mine went to jail in the 80's and he got the same sentence (not for the same deed though). That's when I learned the slang for this very popular sentencing was called "a deuce less".

Even while everything is broken in the usa, the law is still broken. Lobbyists = terrorists/traitors, because they are in it for nothing more than money and power, at the expense of the people. Nothing would exist if it weren't for the people. Government/business needs reminding of that.
