  • I never farm witches, lol. But yeah they are cause they require going to the Nether. And chorus fruits are not fully AFK-able. You have to manually place them. Plus I still think they clash too much with the build style since I am going for a medieval style. But I might use lantern or shroom lights.

  • Thanks! I did take inspiration from Norman castles so glad you like it. I thought of adding some fountains because it does need more water. But it's kind of on a hill so not sure if a moat would look good or not? But I might try that out and see. Its' a cool idea and would let me make a drawbridge since there is a gatehouse already.

  • Glad I am not the only one who is confused about that! I never heard of that before. Maybe they are playing modded?

  • Never heard of Herault carpets. I only play on Vanilla. But I will try different textures perhaps. I find that candles flicker and dissapear in screenshots. Only good for seeing up close.

  • I wanted to keep it simple and not overload the details. It's a small room so it would feel too busy too much colour. But I might try copper bars instead of oak fences. And maybe different bushes, many thanks.

  • Ok, thanks I will try to add variety. I like the similarity but I guess people do prefer some detail.

  • You are correct that they don't look good but I wanted blocks that are easily farmable. You would not notice them anyway because I take screenshots from far away. I might try lanterns but making end rods is slightly expensive and in my opinion it looks a bit modern. But thanks for the advice! :) I will consider other stuff like maybe shroom lights or frog lights instead. Might have to make a frog light farm. Plus, there are dark oak fences so that kind of obscures the blocks. Good idea though. I will try out different things.

I added some details to the castle

  • Maybe you could use a different block like pale oak or iron blocks? Observatories would have large telescopes poking through. But fair enough.

  • Thanks! I got a burst of energy so I wanted to get it done. Then I can move onto the detailing phase.

  • Nice! Maybe you can make a telescope pointing out of it with non oxidized copper

  • Thanks!

  • That's a good idea thanks! I was thinking of doing something like that so that might be a better location for it.

  • I watched a video about this and the game does look strikingly similar in every biome and mechanic. There are seed-based voxel games that manage to do things differently like Valheim. However, I found it ironic that they did not sue Hytale yet.

  • I replaced the power button and battery on my android phone. Managed to fix it by watching YouTube tutorials.

  • Other people have been recommending other apps and websites like Stoat and Team Speak though I am sure that a new app will use this opportunity to go viral.

  • Thanks! I agree for sure. I definitely think castles are one of the best things you can make. I always lean towards medieval fantasy style and always have to build a good castle. Not a huge fan of modern builds. The roof was the hardest part cause at first I used lapis blocks for it but then I realized that would take too long even though I traded with dozens of clerics. So I think I used concrete for the roof and maybe wool.

  • Looks fantastic! Very cosy. Perhaps you could place snow blocks and snow layers on teh roof? Maybe some berry bushes and rose bushes for a pop of colour.

I made a castle in survival mode (also last year)

  • Good that there are alternatives but I bet that won't last for long. More and more apps will copy this.

  • Thanks! It was fun to make though the blades were tedious lol. I came up with the design at the last minute.
