Enabling root has always required a device wipe. It's unfortunate if you want to do it well after receiving your device and using it for months with the stock software.
Correct. If anything, Disney is only fighting somebody else exploiting their employees so they can protect their right to exploit their employees.
I used to also love JuiceSSH, but as you mentioned it's been abandoned. The last update was well over 4 years ago. I've since moved to Termux. Synced my bash dotfiles through git so I could have all of my aliases and i was off to the races.
