  • also, another bonus just for fun because i like how creepy it turned out. taken with my phone at the second ski lift along devil's backbone trail at 3:16 in the morning

also reuploaded to jpeg because wow pictrs avif recompression mangled the hell out of the details

  • great iq in this shot. what do you use?

  • hey buddy, i think you might be looking in the wrong direction

  • great photo, love the contrast and framing. thanks for sharing!

  • lovely photo! just wish that compression artifacts didn't mangle the darker details so much

  • oddly enough i actually quite like the overexposed one. gives it a more creepy feel, with everything else still being pitch black.

  • oh man, i feel this spiritually. recently went on what started out as a hike with promising weather, only for it to turn sour in the last hour towards the peak. ah well, at least it's exercise. and there's always next time

  • awesome photos. i can't decide if #17 or #24 is my favorite, love the landscape shots

  • according to wikipedia, it's apparently a combo of two previous lines, coast daylight, and starlight. but to your point, i suppose the name is still technically correct

  • thanks for the quick review. i shoot with an om-5 and use the dials for all of my aperture adjustments anyway, so it sounds like that would be a non-issue. i don't have a dji drone though... hopefully the bug is addressed on newer units if i ever pull the trigger on getting one.

  • nice set of walkabout photos! the williamsburg bridge one is especially lovely. also like the variety of architecture texture captured up close, even if those buildings all "look like a box" at a distance. thanks for sharing!

  • hey, i was there earlier this year! they've got a neat photography section on the top floor near the rare book room. cool place, really embodies the vibes of portland as a whole even if it's half full of poser tourists such as myself

  • seattle to ohio is quite the trip. i've only ever taken the empire builder from minneapolis to seattle once in my life as a kid and it's for sure completely uneventful for a majority of it. still, wouldn't mind doing it again at least once to relive the nostalgia...

maybe one day we'll get good trains in the states. one can dream.

  • nice shots! i like the framing in the third one with the house. i think this is the first time ive seen photos shot with the dji 15mm prime, what do you think of it? ive heard good things about its iq

  • love this, very serene. even though there's still plenty of light, does it still get very quiet at this point in the night?

  • thanks! thankfully this was taken in december, so no bugs. i could see this place being a bug hellscape in spring though

  • excellent

  • you can't just say there's a monkey in the back and then not elaborate further
