  • While we're suggesting stuff, you can just make a nuudel instead!

(It's a free german Framadate instance.)

  • Oof, Kallas is in there (VP EU Commission). Wonder what her press statement will be...

  • The counterargument is basically rule utilitarianism, right? That not only the direct outputs of your actions matter, but also the processes and social norms that you reinforce, and the total side effects of those.

(At least I think that's what rule utilitarianism is.)

  • Pointer against AI is that Trump is lower resolution than the rest of the pic. Like a far away news camera vs. a high res movie camera.

  • My guy, have you been made aware that there were methods for image manipulation around before AI, that could let you combine parts of different pictures into one picture?

  • Vaguepost by someone who forgot to wear pants again

  • This hack also waltzes past two-factor authentication.

The Krebs article didn't substantiate that. Is there a source of people getting past MFA with the hack?

  • Just add honey, and I'll drink ten of those while I cut down my reading list.

  • Credit where it's due, they got great awareness of their customer base to conclude that they are the type of guy who would rather leave their sweaty ass print behind than bring a fucking towel.

  • Do you at least use read/unreads to distinguish topics that still need to be attended to, or do you just look at every message once before letting them drift into your subconcious to mingle and ferment into anxiety soup?

  • Heise was gushing about (1) Google & OpenAI working together on tagging AI output and (2) camera-makers trying to push cryptographical attestations for real photographs.

Felt the need to point out that (1) is just fear of Habsburg-AI and (2) is a road to a DRM-like unworkable dystopia.

  • I suddenly feel like haranguing my partner to change their default search engine to DuckDuckGo might be the most important thing I did for my relationship in the past year.

  • GitHub got pwnd by a compromised VS Code extension. Internal repos were exfiltrated.

  • I see we've already established the necessity of snuggles, which allow us to recycle some of our waste heat before it radiates into space.

  • Sometimes I wonder if I'm missing out on the latest shit by running plain debian, but then posts like this remind me that I'm avoiding entire realms of suffering.

  • Unfortunately Brave does exist, but you still shouldn't use it. They run a crypto thing, they built AI into their browser, and have done shady stuff in the past.

I hear Vivaldi is great, if you want a Chrome-like.
