  • But that means you hit the big bad early without the opportunity to get better equipment

  • You sure there are two n’s on that Bonn?

  • I’m sorry, we have to maintain a minimum average IQ in the US right now. Please wait a period of one (1) year before additional exports. Thank you for your understanding. If Trump expires, we would likely be able to remove the limitation altogether.

  • The tide is turning in the perception on the Israel conflict. More and more people are seeing it as a genocide.

  • Please let’s at least get her into primary next go around. Let’s have actual good people fighting for us

  • I mean we’re not at the point where we’re being forced yet. DC isn’t a state so… curiously, California didn’t do anything but i don’t know if they have a state militia

  • Isn’t that the temperature/pressure/state of matter histogram thing?

  • Okay if you are talking about sound waves, they’re not really waves in the traditional sense. They are waves because it tracks the compactness/vibrations.

The reason why sound transfers faster in solids is because the atoms are more rigid due to, you know, being a solid.

If you pump enough energy into it, won’t you start doing funny things?

Ie: if you put enough energy into a rigid material there’s a point where it stops being able to take the force and breaks

I’m also not a scientist and also am the wrong type of engineer too so…

I’d imagine if you compact things faster than the energy can leave the immediate area, you’d run into funny phenomenons with the temperature/pressure/state of matter histogram.

Which brings me to my question of what is a shock wave if not a sound wave?

  • I mean sounds is just differently compressed medium, usually air. Why are shock waves not sound waves?

  • Why do you need to put the secret service in solitary with him?

    1. Fuck the Democrats, they don't do what's good for the country. Why the Hell isn't Trump being impeached again and again and again?
    2. Safe ownership should not be a partisan issue.

I got downvoted elsewhere for suggestions.

Essentially, don't outright ban guns but make it really hard to own one.

Option 1) Restrict 5.56 and other non-common hunting rounds: 1a) If you want to shoot recreationally? The ammo must be bought and used at the range. Any unused ammo must be returned to the range. Up to the range whether or not to keep a "cache" for members so that they're not wasting too many rounds 1b) The individual state distributes those rounds and keeps records.

Option 2) Random safety checks 2a) The state enforcement may show up at your house at any time. You are required to rreport to the state when you will be gone for extended periods of time. If you didn't previously file out of the country, you are allowed a small amount of missed calls. The state shall verify that your ammo is stored separately from your firearms and are properly locked. If not, any firearm not safely stored is confisticated. 2b) Every serial number must have a name associated and in a database with your name and address. You must report when the guns move and they must be with you at your primary residence except when you are on vacation. This is also subject to random checks. If you are found to violate this, any firearms not following this will be removed. Yes, I am outlawing storage lockers.

  • Because most gun owners don't want to be on a list. And they should absolutely be tracked. Even if the only way to get ammunition is at a range, where you have to leave all unshot ammunition at the range, or from the state directly.

  • Emotional Support Assault Rifles?

Also, isn't the M4A1 an improvement on the M16 (which is based on the AR15 platform)?

I'd argue the M4A1 is a /great/ firearm. Are there other ARs that have better features? Yes. Have I shot an M4A1 in combat? Nope. But I have shot an M4A1. Compared to other rifles I've shot (OK this is limited), the M4A1 just feels good to shoot. It's not painful, it's pretty damn accurate, and you can add stuff to make it really fit you. It is pretty good for medium, medium-long shooting.

Also, I don't know why people buy automatic rifles. It's not accurate, and if you don't know what you're doing, you're going to cause damage to the gun. Semi-auto single fire/burst is where it's at because when you fire a gun, you want to hit what you're intending to hit.

OK, now the reason I'm replying. If you asked me five years ago if firearms are necessary, I'd have said no. It's great fun but wholly unnecessary. I have since changed my opinion.

The federal government is supposed to protect us from tyrannical state governments. The state government is supposed to protect us from tyrannical federal governments through militias. The issue is, a lot of states don't have an official state militia outside of the National Guard (note: if you're not authorized by the state you're not a militia, you're a terrorist group). With the current federal government taking control of the state militia (national guard) to use against the states, we're reaching a time where either the state-only militias need to do something because this breaks MANY laws or we actually need to defend ourselves.

I oppose outright banning AR-15 and derivatives. While they won't stop a tank from destroying your neighborhood, or a bomber from taking out your neighborhood, they are a deterrent if we start exercising our 2a right against non-uniformed people kidnapping the citizens off the street. I think the states should allow it, and the states should highly regulate these guns.

  • The law isn’t exactly stopping him now

  • Inb4 vaccines

  • Unfortunately, Democrats (see: CA, WA) have been straight up banning guns instead of focusing on safe ownership.

Regardless of your political affiliation, you should be very concerned about the federal government using official state militias (Nat Guard) against the states and questioning straight gun bans.

The federal government should step in for state overreach, and the state government should step in for federal overreach. If the federal government is co-opting the state militia (and while some states have non-National Guard militias, some don’t), what’s the purpose of the second amendment?
