  • Both people in a relationship should be mature enough to make an informed decision which should be the case once you hit your mid twenties. However, if you have a larger age gap both of you should encourage greater scrutiny into your relationship and motives. People may question why and both of you should consider reasonable answers.

  • Plan B can suck. But you know what sucks more? Being pregnant. It's a dangerous life altering scenario that needs to be undertaken with extreme care.

    The "Pull out method" only works if you have an extremely accurate method to track your cycle and avoid sex around ovulation. This requires an app and a smart ring that tracks your temperature constantly to find the exact time of ovulation. Even this can only find it after it occurred because of the temperature spike. So only recommend as method for people who wouldn't mind being pregnant.

    If this is becoming a pattern of casual sex get on birth control and get lots of condoms. Both are needed to get the full protection against pregnant and condoms are needed for STI prevention. Keep the condoms nearby your bed and require them. Really the men should also insist on condoms but you can't control them.

  • See if your city has compost pickup. It's usually located where brush and yard waste gets dropped off in the early spring. I load up on gallons of it each spring for my gardens.

    Native seeds (assuming you are in North america) are harder to germinate. Most need to be cold stratified for at least 30 days and then they have a low rate. The best method is either directly sow in the fall (which is what I do in my wildflower section) or winter sow in a container. I usually buy mine as starters except for my wildflower section which I do from seeds.

    Gardening is a long term project so it's going to take time. Spring is the best with the anticipation and potential in the air

  • Being intimate with someone is always a vulnerable experience. Sometimes this vulnerability pays off and sometimes it does not. This encouner may have been fine for portions but overall negative. When something like this happens its best to learn from any mistakes (if there was any) and understand that sometimes we take a risk and it doesn't work out. You may learn that you hate staying over at someone's place. There is nothing wrong with doing something that isn't in your character. You don't know what is in your character unless you try something different.

    You can try to continue to chat with him but that might not work. He might be embarassed that he couldn't stay hard or could be million different reasons. At some point you will need to cut your losses and stop responding but that depends on you. We are all human and make mistakes and you should treat someone how you want to be treated.

    My one real piece of advice is if you see him again at your professional organization is to act cool, professional and friendly. Its a sign of real maturity and a good life skill to practice being around people who you might feel awkward around. Also you don't want someone to take something valuable from you (in this case the org). You shouldn't feel ashamed for what you did because this is something that happens between two consenting adults. You did nothing wrong and should not be ashamed for it

  • I bought my house in 2021 and its been so fun to take care of the yard, garden and everything else. I have been doing sheet mulching (composting in place) in my garden for a few years now and it turned from terrible soil with potential into something wonderful. I am doing a large scale native install in my front yard this year after getting a grant from the state. I am so excited.

  • When I see a butterfly I get really excited. I usually try to get a picture and try to look up what it is and what it eats. I have been trying to plant host plants and can't wait to see the butterflies they all feed.

  • We are looking for the wind line for the extra capacity and they are cheaper. I'm tall but my wife is short so the height issue would just be for me.

    I forgot about exterior 120 v outlets. That has some nice uses
