VR Hardware
  • Your best option is undoubtably going to be to skip tube sites and either (1) buy a subscription to a studio that publishes VR content, or (2) sail the high seas 🏴‍☠️

  • Best Porn Reviews?
  • For English language JAV reviews, the ZENRA blog is likely your best option.

For general JAV discussion, the ScanLover forum is great - you'd likely get a good discussion going about specifics of acting & story.

For non-JAV discussion and reviews, AdultDVDTalk has been the best I've found, but the bar is very low. The mods are pretty aggressive about enforcing their rules to the point that I've always just lurked rather than participate.

Honestly - my dream setup for this is integrating a scene database like StashDB with a voting-based discussion system like Lemmy. I'm not aware of anything that allows such modular discussion of scene, performer, studio, tag, etc.

  • I hadn't considered looking at secondhand headsets and honestly the prices in my area are very compelling ($150-250).

Do the foam parts on the face get gross? Do you recommend replacing that if I get a used one?

  • That's really cool, I assume that's different than HSA/FSA money?

There's a lot of JAV fetish work being released in VR. It's a little annoying to acquire, as most of it isn't getting uploaded to the usual sites, but it is available to purchase via DMM (requires Japan VPN & buying DMM points (gift card) via amazon.jp, as foreign credit cards aren't accepted).

  • How do you handle your porn? Storage or Online only?
  • Unlimited storage on My Drive is dead but Team Drives still don't have an enforced storage limit.

I'm aware that the days are numbered but plan to keep milking it until then. 180 TB and growing, I'll have to either get rid of some unwanted content or spend a ton of money on hard drives.

  • I have only used Google Cardboard style headsets, and thought it was an interesting novelty. I will occasionally pull it out for use when I know I'll have some uninterrupted time home alone. The low resolution and the annoyances with staying centered prevent me from using it more often.

I have been wanting to get a nicer VR setup for some time, but feel that the technology is still rapidly evolving and don't want to waste money on something that'll be obsolete in a year or two.

Apple Vision Pro looks really interesting, but out of my budget. Would probably be something I'd consider buying when a cheaper consumer grade model becomes available.
