Connection refused after latest update

After updating HA last week, I lost access to it. I thought it was the external access, but seems the internal service is having issues.

I cannot access the home assistant either through homeassistant.local nor it's specific ip. I get a ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED error message.

Looking at the observer URL, everything should work. Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this?

Thanks!

  • And to confuse even further, the cardinal number (ninety-two) is "to-og-halv-fems" in Danish without the *20. But if you need the ordinal number (92nd), then we add in the x20 as in "to-og-halv-fem-sinds-tyvende". Danish is very easy and transparent 😊

  • It's not like full hitman games and more separate episodes/maps that are being released. Ever since the rebooted Hitman game, it has felt like every release have had a few new sandboxes to explore, but to me the story has never been the focus.

  • Just to clarify, on pixel phones, when you go to the recents menu, you are able to select text from all the app previews. If you have a photo with text open in an app and go to the recents menu, you can select and copy the text from that preview. Same goes if you use an app that doesn't allow selecting and copying text. If you go to the recents menu, you will be able to select that text ;-)

  • That isn't a launcher specific functionality. It's the recent menu on Pixel phones and I guess it should be a part of Android 13, but it might be locked to Pixel phones right now. I'm using a custom launcher on my Pixel 7 Pro and I still have access to the OCR functionality in the recents menu.

  • I mean, in all honesty, it's the same show as All About Android, but now with potential to shake up the formula a bit. They lean more heavily into community engagement and I appreciate being able to support them specifically on Patreon.

Android Faithful continues with their second episode

All About Android was abruptly discontinued and one of the most stable podcasts from the last decade discussing android disappeared. Now most of the hosts created the spiritual successor and they just released their second episode. Let's hope they'll stick around for the next decade 😊

  • I wholeheartedly agree with the swiping punctuation. That and swiping on the space bar to switch keyboard configuration is the main reason for sticking to SwiftKey. Writing in several languages where you need special characters in each language, having to hold down a button in order to switch the keyboard is frustratingly slow.

One extra point is also that SwiftKey inserts the most likely prediction when clicking space. Whenever I've used gboard, it's so frustrating, that my fingers have to click the prediction in order to insert it.

  • I remember playing The Cave back on 360 and it was a quite enjoyable puzzle game made by Double Fine, which almost should merit giving it at least a try 😉 I'm not sure if I ever finished the game though.
