  • I look forward to when just like how forearm tattoos have gotten more acceptable, we can have fun hair colors that are vibrant. One day....

  • Thanks~ Best believe though, in October we're going back over it so that way it's obvious that it's burgundy in all lighting, not just when my hair hits the sun. To me, burgundy is still in the red family, but isn't too "out there" of a color (I desperately wish we could just let adults have vibrant hair without fear of being judged).

  • It's more like homemade cornbread that other people have made that I've tried.

I personally grew up on Jiffy Mix, but when I go to a family friend's house where the Grandma is southern and makes scratch cornbread with 0 sweetness to it, and it's the scratchiest thing on the planet, I make sure to make it sweeter for my tastes. I never want to make sad, unsweet cornbread.

  • I'm glad someone gets it. Also I need to finish this anime.

  • I got compliments on my hair and it made me feel nice. I wanted my hair to be an "employable burgundy" (as much as in my soul, I deeply wanted as bright of a red as possible), but it came out a little too subtle. Thankfully, when the light is nice, it looks great and I love getting complements.

  • I would take the bottom right because if there's one aggressively millennial thing about me, it's skinny jeans. And you'll pry them from my cold, dead hands. They're good all year round, you never have to worry about folding the bottom into winter boots, and they don't drag on the ground when it's winter or rainy outside. Skinny jeans forever!

  • It's also kinda gross when it's been revealed that a lot of extensions we use for our hair contain nasty chemicals. So even if you didn't chemically treat your hair, you were still exposed to bad chemicals by other means. Makes me so glad I have microlocs!

  • I'd pick top left because I do a lot of walking and also because the boots look durable. While I don't mind heeled boots, I would only wear them to dinner or some other event that calls for dressing a bit nicer and I don't do that often enough. The bottom left is just "eh" so I wouldn't pick it.

  • I'm getting the bottom half of my hair dyed burgundy. I can count on one hand the number of times I've gotten my hair professionally done and I'm excited. I love the color red and I'm excited to do something just because I want to.

I do feel much better after taking a nap in the afternoon, but until I got rest, it was a very bad feeling. Just 4 more weeks left and I'm free!

  • I have 4 weeks left of college and am a shell of myself. On my second cup of coffee today and I still have several chapters to get through, 3 discussion posts and two papers that I'd like to get done by Saturday (Friday is the best case scenario) so I can rest on Sunday.

But on the plus side, I get my hair done Wednesday!!!! I'm holding out until then

  • This is why i'm doing Ombre. I can't afford to go to a salon regularly for dye touch ups. My belief is that if I go ombre, then as my hair grows it's not a big deal. Here's the vision:

    This color:

And I want it to flow like this:

  • I have 5 more weeks until I'm finally done with my college degree, but I don't wanna do work. Like no, I don't wanna read about copyright law in my communication law and ethics course, I wanna walk around outside in the beautiful spring weather (ofc I'm gonna do it because I literally have my cap and gown and it would be embarrassing to fail this late in the game).

Also I get my hair done next week: dying my hair an ombre burgundy! Be prepared for a hair post when it happens. I've always wanted to dye my hair a fun color.

  • I look to the fabric make up. When I worked corporate, Banana Republic and Express had a lot of clothes that suited me, but I ended up working remote and am now a full time student, so clothes is about balancing comfort, ease and quality. I used ThredUp to thrift an oversized (for me) Gap Denim jacket that was 95% cotton, and I pair that with the T-shirts I've accumulated over the years and either my fleece lined Athleta leggings for the winter or PopFit leggings for warmer months.

  • I uninstalled Pikmin Bloom after the news that they're being sold to the Saudi company (the damage is likely already done as I was a day 1 PoGo player), but when I get an Android phone in April, I would love to contribute.

  • They did a fantastic job!!!

  • Love it! Hands being two different colors is always a good time

  • There is such a thing as glass dip pens (I had one and was too rough with it, so it broke :') ), but I like using fountain pens that suck up ink via a spring or piston filled mechanism. I only fool around with fountain pens because I like playing with fun ink and being a weirdo. This is my TWSBI Eco (Fine nib) inked with Noodler's Cardinal Kestral.

Some would argue that there is a proper grip to hold fountain pens, but I found that the normal way I write is good enough. I always enjoyed writing in cursive, and I take a lot of notes (prayer journaling, getting my college degree, writing out my thoughts, etc.), so fountain pens indulge those activities.

If you like going down rabbit holes, here's a blog post to learn more: https://www.jetpens.com/blog/The-Beginner-s-Guide-to-Fountain-Pens/pt/927. #twsbieco #fountainpens (idk may this reach the fountain pen people elsewhere in the Fediverse so they can add more)

  • Honestly, I feel that unless nails are noticeably missing chunks, it's never that bad! Purple is rad!
