I am stuck in this part of Expedition 33 but I don't like using any strategy other than "hit shit a bunch and hope it dies by brute force"

My wife is like "no you have to use magic and strategy" and my strategy in any game is to just hit something with a sword and if that doesn't work I get bored and stop playing.
