  • I worked at a computer store for a few months. Tools like PC part picker likely aren't always 100% accurate... And, even small things like cases can cause issues.

And, you still can have weird issues. I bought an omnibook and was getting random stalls. I'm still not sure it was fully because I didn't have enough ram. You shouldn't, but it does still happen.

Nobody is forcing you to buy it. But a lot of people just want a turnkey solution (like I said) where everything just works with minimum effort. I actually play games on a 4k tv.. using a rog ally.

It's not like steam likely won't update their steam machine specs again when it makes sense either. It's unlikely they'd run the same cycle length as Xbox, Nintendo or Sony

At the very least, I think part of the reason, like the steam deck is to kick off other similar products too. Even if you don't like the steam machine there will likely be others which are preinstalled and target steam

  • Pretty much..

No idea why anyone would praise this guy. It's no better than Pauline interfering with the court system at the moment. If they're found not guilty, it's not good.

Let the courts decide. We see plenty of stupid fucking vigilante bs that turns out wrong

  • I don't like either party, but, he's not wrong

  • This is news?

  • Nobody said that

I think the confusion here is that you see gamers as nerds who all want ray tracing and photorealism

    They aren't. Some are

But steam directly tests that hardware in steam os, so less likelihood of issues. Also, not all hardware is compatible with each other when building either

  • As much as I hate scalpers, there are no laws broken.

  • Depends how many games you buy. I have hundreds of steam games, many from 10+ years ago

  • Sorry, that's what I mean. I mean custom pc

  • Yeah. I tried gaming PC for a while. Have fun with random issues.

Same as a nas. Everyone tries building their own, and ends up going turnkey eventually

  • Other platforms achieve that by messing with the quality generally and locking things down

And, I play all my games on rog ally on my 4k screen. This is substantially more powerful. And it's a turnkey solution

  • There is nothing illegal about it

And, they'd look like dicks if they got legal involved with people who legit ordered them

  • At least in that case, Ronald Reagan wasn't still president (and it was apparently clinton who approved it). In this case they aren't even waiting for a convicted criminal to stop being president..

It's possible bribery at this point

  • Definitely not an insecure narcissist loser.

Most normal people would feel weird about something like this

  • Well. As an example, no man's sky ran worse in windows. I also hated their armoury application

  • Humble bundle I assume?

  • I'm tired of hearing about this immigration bs.

I'm tired of people pretending it's rational discussion

The only reason it's being discussed at all is because the racist redhead relies on community outage as a vehicle for her political campaign. Let's not play her game

The ones pushing this agenda the most are the same ones who often support the literal convicted criminal in US and are trying to interfere with a war crimes case (BRS).

It's not a rational discussion because the people discussing it the most are immigrants and apply standards differently to themselves.

In real life nobody cares about this, except the people who have made racism their identity. I've been threatened at least 3x in my life, and someone I know was murdered (someone who threatened me once actually). None of those people including the person who is in court now for murder were recent migrants. In fact, in the hiking community, it tends to be the recent migrants who cause less issues I found

  • My rog ally x came with windows. Steamos was a game changer for it

  • It's available. But, still ships from overseas last I checked.

US company though apparently, but didn't realise they ship from Taiwan.

One thing that is interesting, is you can get a riscv board and an arm board. Would be good if they have an elite Broadcom board though

  • Not readily available in Australia, I associate it with Linus (not torvalds), they're expensive, and god knows if Trump does weird export import stuff the moment it ships, and if it needs repair, nobody would be unsurprised if Trump made us pay to ship it back
