  • It's already year of linux on everything else from mobile devices, VR (meta quest) to servers.

I don't think its year of the linux desktop, but, as people try to become more independent, there will certainly be a push. Countries like China in the government already apparently use Linux

And, there is hopefully a bigger push for SteamOS based gaming handheld consoles. GOG integration with SteamOS would be awesome too

  • Same people saying this as the people who said elderly people won't survive without plastic bags

  • I use Fedora for work. One piece of software I have won't run in wine though, because it does some weird SSL certificate stuff. So, I still need virtual machine manager. but, everything else, including compiling I updated our build tools to work properly in linux.

Fortunately, no smart cards or anything though, and unmanaged system

  • The problem isn't that it's anti Linux. it's not a community, it's a personal blog pretending to be one..

It has a few similarities already to subreddits like thedonald

  • Why not both?

  • Doesn't piss me off as much as media players that show you what happens in the next episode as it's loading

  • It's a ripoff world-wide.

  • I sold my PS5 a year ago. So, I already am boycotting..

  • I've noticed in the last week it's increased

  • An election must be coming....

  • ONP won't win.. they've been losing for 30 years and the only thing that changed is that Murdoch media is now more actively telling people they'll win. There are a lot of obviously fake onp bots on Facebook

And yes, 70% of people are dipshits if they're still buying pure ICE cars. The real question is how many are PHEV, and whether they are considered ICE..

Also, you guys said we'd run out of fuel once. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. The alarmist stuff doesn't because our government tends to adapt.. The only thing that happened is that our local donkeys hoarded fuel, so there was a temporary spike. And, ONP + Libs took a few photos next to some empty bowsers which were turned off, all whilst screaming "look, we're out of fuel, and Labor is lying about the shipments"

The reason it won't happen, is because that relies on our government sitting there, doing absolutely nothing..

Again, I've also already started to see woolies trucks which are EV's now, and, seeing hybrids are growing increasingly common. I just hope we don't subsidise fuel again.

    1. You're not even in Australia. You're in the US
    2. US will be affected more than other countries, because Trump hasn't actually been negotiating, and, he's sabotaged so many negotiations that nobody wants to do business with him anymore.
    3. Solar will fry the grid, we'll run out of diesel, elderly people will be harmed by paper bags, all of Australia will be destroyed by forest fires, victoria is "bankrupt", etc.

Australia is in a different position to US. Here in Australia, our government wants to move off fossil fuels. In the US, yours is sabotaging renewables

In states like SA, there is already heavy use of Solar panels. Tasmania is almost entirely renewables

The biggest impact is on the people here who have ignored every rebate available, and purchased large cars to to impress their mates

  • Disagree with this one.

The entire point is to make it look like he's doing something so, at the end of the presidency, he can claim he deserves a hall pass for three Epstein files and tax fraud because he's done so much

  • Not all of the US.

She'd be unwelcomed in a lot of it too

  • Not really. Lots of people have already switched to EVs.

Also, I've already seen a EV woolies truck

It will be the last affordable one for people who decide to drive large 20l/100km utes though

  • No doubt he'll volunteer to help identify these criminals undercover

  • These were pretty steep stairs. And I have plantar fascitis. With a 20kg pack, not much you can do really

  • You're right. He should sit and stare at them instead

  • They're doing also lots of pro consumer things

Whereas, I'd argue Nintendo is almost entirely anti consumer. They didn't even fix their joycons and recall them
