  • When you start making weird subtle attacks on the LGBTI community, and start mimicking the dementia guy.. I'd argue both..

    It's like reddit subs like "the donald". It's pretty clear they were less about politics, and more about attacking people.

    It's becomingly increasingly clear, thats what the sub is ACTUALLY about.. If you removed the word "linux" from a lot of their memes, it becomes a lot more obvious

  • The difference is, the street corner people DO get attention, and later get noticed on places like facebook and such, and people can hear them (they just need to play victim).. if a tree falls in a forest and nobody sees it, does it matter?

    If their posts stay negative, they'll probably just leave, because even people subscribed won't see them

  • Not just windows.. They just hate Linux.

    The reason I think they're an Apple user though, is that Apple users also defend BSD (since, the MacOS core was essentially unix based), and the culture changed a bit to look down on windows less when the intel macs were released with Windows.

    I used to sell gear, and a lot of Apple people tend to just like to attack linux in my experience

    The funny thing is that they say "linux doesn't run any games", but, MacOS has always sucked at games

    We shouldn't have to remove the ladder for the pool in the Sims or play with fireworks. Should be able to pick them up and throw them

  • Pretty sure I responded to the same post.

    He started saying Linux needed ecc for a while, windows didn't, which is absolutely ridiculous given that a lot of Mac's needed ecc, and windows server explicitly recommends ecc.

    My Linux Android phone doesn't use ecc either, or people's Samsung tv

    They just get negative votes constantly.. For obvious reasons.. I only have 6 subscribers on "linuxsucks sucks", and, even if I only get 1 upvote, I'm more successful than madthumbs lol. I suspect their subs are just to downvote them

  • We all thought it was a joke at first.. But, its similar to how "Trump is just joking" and it's becoming increasingly obvious, its a narcissist who has lived in a echo chamber with mental issues..

    I suspect this is someone with genuine mental issues. Why would you bother when you're not getting any traction

  • I have a light pilot licence.. The crap I've flown, probably only has an OS for the GPS/radio stack (Garmin).

    Technically, not even sure they even have proper ECU's..

    I used to sell Apple gear, and, many of their arguments seem similar to what a lot of Apple people comment.

  • On my side, I believe people can use whatever they want (even TempleOS). I use Fedora, but Windows in a VM for work. I used to sell Apple gear (and, Apple hardware is the ONLY hardware I've ever come across with really weird hardware design issues, like wireless mice that can't be plugged in and use).

    The irony is though, almost everyone uses Linux every day somehow (whether its embedded in some of their devices, like their router, or they use Android).

    Also, this Lemmy instance probably runs on Linux..

  • Not much competition really.

    This is someone who says "linux users don't have jobs", but on another hand, spends all day making stupid (and occasionally bigoted) memes, like the weird one about pronouns.

    Someone who spends this much time attacking an operating system, probably doesn't have much of an exciting life (and, they probably aren't getting invited to anything, anywhere)
