It takes a very long time for something like that to switch. The US took more than a century to integrate themselves into whole world. Every McDonald's or KFC is an extension of that control and thus the USD as the default reserve currency. All that has to close down first. That is going to take a long time even with the Stupidest President throwing US soft power down the toilet.

The problem is bounties are not as viable now with AI as someone will slop something out just to try and collect the money and just makes a project a target for Spam.
None but some companies are still businesses that are privately owned by themselves and the Revenue Comes from the products and services that they make and scams where their revenue comes from scamming investors and stock market manipulation that's why Enshittification works. The manipulation is even happening when it benefits the users at the beginning.
They should call it what it is, Offshoring and I remember what happened the last time they did that the quality was so bad most companies eventually and quietly brought the jobs back. AI will be the same thing once they can't help but admit Scam Altman took them for a ride at everyone's expense.
Are they just mad that the best year in gaming was 1998. Games back then can still be played today they don't need a always online servers that will get shutdown. Every multiplayer game came with a free dedicated server and you could vote kick the cheaters or just people being assholes. Mods were everywhere and encouraged by the devs not lawsuits. Most games didn't come with with a rootkit pretending to be DRM.
The problem its not just some rich guys they are just the hitmen. Its PetroStates that are behind them. As in if they stop oil their Nation collapses and they dragged from into the streets and eliminated.
Plus not having it being image centric makes the web idea based like it was before during the arpanet days. Images bring with it the Memeification of communication and other low effort content.
