  • yea, they probably will. i think a lot of people still clinging to a pc but not 'needing' windows-exclusive applications would seriously look at a tablet as their only 'pc' if it acted and worked a bit more like one when they want or need it to be one. it's something both google and apple are working on, they just ain't quite there yet.

  • it is a popular 'free' offering on most streaming devices and televisions (pihole works), plus the web site (dlp works on some). a lot of what they have is junk or on pretty much every other free service, but there's always something to watch or rewatch on it.

  • read the article. please. it's not about forcing any ol' doctor to perform these procedures.. it's about when a doctor denies the procedures for their own personal reasons and opinions--even when it's a treatment option for something else. someone very near and dear to me had to go to a different state because she's ("only") in her 20s and nobody around here would even consider it--even though another pregnancy might kill her.

  • i tried them for awhile years ago, but determined fairly quickly that one is enough for me.

    one of my first configurations on a new installs (ones with a DE) is setting number-of-desktops to '1' and hiding the default switcher on the panel. even with a ui designed around multiple desktops (like the gnome implementation on my endless desktop at home) i just use one.
