  • actual bubble gum? probably a couple halloweens ago.

    'regular' gum? yesterday.

  • bid in whole dollars--and values of items bid on are also rounded to the nearest dollar, too. i think that's just part of the rules. as far as i can remember, only a few of the pricing 'games' (and the big wheel, of course) had things in cents or dollars+cents.

  • the 'pen' isn't broken. the little strap or string that leashed it to the terminal broke and the 'pen' is now nowhere to be found.

  • ron did something stupid.. again.

    rufus saved the day.. again.

kim got all the credit.. again.

  • the whole thing was advertisements for tootsie roll candies. so the name 'fit', i guess.

  • apache has all but let openoffice go. there's, i think, like one guy that works on it occasionally.

  • but affected macs that are still running office 2019 have serria or high serria, and can't run libreoffice (current requires os11)

  • "I’m flatulent in many languages." --hank (the cowdog)

  • in this case, the platform (i.e. vlc) has literally not changed. it's essentially the same thing it's been for going-on twenty years. there has been no updates or upgrades or changes that affect how it looks or runs. version 3.0 is like eight years old. version 2 was pretty much the same, as was version 1 before that. vlc is one of the most stable and consistent software applications on the planet.

  • right click the player window. context menu comes up. tools->preferences. big fat 'reset preferences' button on the bottom of that window.

  • Maybe delete your config file and start over

    this.

vlc literally has not changed appearance.. like, ever

  • in the small towns in states without their own higher minimum wage, it's worse. the starting wages are even lower, but you still need at least that much just to exist.

  • i sorta remember it too. we were in a very small town back then, parade and big block party. the whole town was there. i would guess pretty much every small town from coast-to-coast had something similar.

  • he never did gaf about the music. all he wants is to be center stage and rant and rage against everything that someone with a million dollars to stuff in his diaper wants him to hate.

  • the leaning tower of shit has never had any 'principles', conservative or otherwise---except those that fill his bank accounts with other peoples' money.

  • those are my sheets. wuts your dad doin' here?

  • yea, you can freeze it. i'd do something like 2 big or 4 juniors per sandwich bag, then put those bags into a couple larger gallon size bags. pull out one of the small bags at a time to thaw in the fridge.

back in the before times, when i could afford beef, i'd do 3-5 lbs at a time that way. now i just get 'em every now and then from my boss when they cook a few extra on the grill and she brings me a couple (home raised, the very good stuff). and yea, they're often frozen when i get 'em from her, too.

i do always make sure i get the cooked frozen beef back up to temp.

  • i see a ram upgrade in your future. 4gb is barely enough for win10 to boot and run a browser or something. will need more on top of that for what you're gonna be running with qemu. other than that, as long as you have virtualization enabled, the rest is 'good enough'

  • someone with an affected version would have to try that, but i'm guessing if legit perpetual 2019 licenses are dead upon expiry of that certificate, mas won't help either. moving to 2021 or newer won't work either, as the affected users' macos version won't support newer office versions.
