  • With a balooning debt to gdp ratio, its gonna get unmanagable really fast , people are too stupid to elect another FDR and US' tech dominance gap will shrink or be outright gone.

Chinese millenia is coming if its not already here

  • Agreeing with an .ml person, what a day

But yeah , not going to their home countries uni maybe a question of their countries uni being 50 years behind (i attended uni in a 3rd world country as a chem eng and we were using equipment from the 60s and 70s)

  • Huh , i forgor about americans and their shit-frastracture ... im from europe and our villages/small towns are dying even tho most of what you said isnt true for us.

Idk whats it about , as most people my age (late 20s early 30s) want to live in a smaller town nearby but noone is moving there just staying in the big cities.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

Why dont more people live in smaller communities , appart from economic opportunity (WFH is making it possible if not prefferable too)

  • I love that guy , he is so interesting to watch and his video on "colour" brown is my most rewatched video of his ... the passion he has while talking about the most mundane stuff in our world is the best attention keeper imo

  • Sadly i have to be there as its the best place to get news about the place im living in , our newspapers work for our govenment and other channels are usually controlled opposition ... reddit is the most trustworthy (its so ironic to tell you that but it is)

  • Yeah , agree 100% ... great man theory of history rly pisses me off , plus the whole "capitalism is best without regulations" bullshit , people forgot the first gilded age and the fight of the unions to give people some semblance of decency in the workplace
