I used to make historically accurate (for the time) models out of card when I was a child (Viking village complete with long boat, a medieval castle) I also made Roman type armour for my Sindy dolls, so you're not alone in recreating what you enjoyed watching/reading about

I never knew these flowered, I had one years ago and it got quite big and straggly...no flowers tho :(
