    For recognition that their suffering is unjust? Huge difference.

    If anyone is sarcastic about Canada, France or any other nations about this issue and criticizing them about the lack of support , I sure hope as fuck that you put your money and your votes where your mouth is wherever you are located.

    Ffs, Palestinians, including farmers, inventors, and just general lovely folk have not had anywhere to turn for ages. Now there will be a generation of serious nourishment deprivation, where said they survive they will likely be diminished and devalued because of Israel imposing starvation and trauma upon them.

    Any support now is critical, and empty words of support are unfortunately more than the sheer genocide of both bodies and minds that is happening now.

  • I’ve done this unofficial fostering myself. I make sure that I don’t claim all ”my” kids, they are still their own individuals and have all rights to connect with their families and cultures. I love my kids, both bio and not. I wouldn’t want to be without them. But I still am sure I should have had other options achieved when I was younger. So I concur with the commenter I replied to now and OP. Don’t let family pressure fuck your life up.

  • That’s interesting, I remember there were discussions on Slashdot or Reddit about how easy it was to abuse Googles report tool several years ago. Reading this articles description of the abuse in action enraged me. And domestic violence victims too often withdraw their complaints due to economic factors or fear. Fuck Maury Blackman, the perpetrator of violence and intimidating lawsuits.

    Edit: But yes, the tariffs suck and will impact both us not-rich in the EU as well as in the US. And trading more with China is not a goal. Good thing we’re looking for better connections with other nations outside the union. Sad that malevolent interests ruin our democracies and economies.

  • I had the opposite experience with Mediamarkt here in Sweden, we had customer support go above and beyond to help us, even in those instances we ourselves were partially to blame for some product issues.

    They weren’t making any profits here though, so the Norwegian electronics chain Power bought their Swedish operations.

    The internet will last. How we use it (with active, anonymous or sake accounts) continues to change.
