  • Yeah I realize that it looks like I'm playing with myself. I should have posted the mesh network I connected to with all the node names. Neat connecting to nodes 5 hops out. But it's like the east side of Pensacola has I think at least 2 individual mesh network.

Ironically I think I might have messaged people irrigation system or what not, but I was still excited to find the network while canvassing

  • yeah i do agree. id say id do very little to convince them. that's why I ultimate leaning towards a subversive pro love message. like one of my lines is going to be "both sides are here to spread the love an acceptance of all gods children, including drag queens". also I had a trial run with a Christian and using the bible to compel them to love made them crash out harder than any hate for bible or Christianity. plus I should be here for the drag queens.

what's the best things to say at a counter protest of a drag show

to be clear I'm gonna be counter protesting a protest of a drag show so I'm being pro drag show.

I put in my order for a megaphone to take to protest and events. the people protesting the show are the biblical type from what I hear, I'm actually pretty ignorant on the details, but I smell an instigation opportunity, or an opportunity to spread love to drag queens. I'm not into drag shows all I know is Rupaul drag show exist and its like a clothing designer show.

I need more pro drag queen phrases to fall back on. I'll say we love out lgbt community if I hear the f slur.

but i have came up with some things like pointing to a preacher and saying they're gonna have the next chomo/lester scandal.

or I can be extra funny and say that they're here to join us take on billionaire pedro-philes like Donald trump.

ill up for pro-drag queen, anti-hater, or subversive phrases.

  • if that's true then id have to be more proactive about getting either of the 2 features I articulated and I'm already hesitant because the first steps are research and contacting the developers to articulated/agree on a standard

why is there no repeater for every frequency slot?

I had to do a lot bit of research on RF radio repeaters just to get an answer as to why there isn't a analog radio repeater that repeats in real time and one of it was that it would effectively increase the transmitted power above the legal limit and there would be "packet bumping". it explains the the meshtastic protocol has to be digital.

but im wondering why there isnt a setting that listens and retransmits on multiple frequency slots or one frequency slot and all modem setting. either of those setting would make using meshtastic easier to adopt.

  • starting a community would be hard on my end given I'm an introvert but I have told a few people that live in the same county as me about meshtastic. they like the idea; probably why I want to be a pioneer. I just found the GSM 900 which is a repeater for mobile networks. it looks like it has a similar power output to heltec v3. ill make another post seeing what other people in the community think

  • dang nice to know how many devices are needed. I think that switching channels would cut down on the number of nodes, but idk how to auto switch settings. good to know the default setting because I was gonna revert it back.

i should clarify a generic radio repeater that inst meshtastic but is able to repeat LORA signal

    generic repeater

I thought about being a "meshtastic pioneer" and in my head that means rebroadcasting on multiple frequency slots just so meshtastic user can connect without me independently having them to tell them what channel and modem preset I'm on. with my research it seems that there isn't 1 thing I can buy that can work on the entire US(915) band). im curious if anyone would recommend or has installed a radio repeator for meshtastic bands

have you participated in Democratic socialist of America(DSA) chapter

i can give my whole experience with DSA chapter maybe even blog about it. but the cliffnotes are that I met them at the second no kings rally and decided to investigate them to see if they're worth contributing too. also I'm still in the tire kicking stage.

I'm more curious about other people experiences with DSA. did you hear about them? did you attend one of their meeting? have you done anything with/for them? any opinions on the organization?

does Linux have kernel level cryptographic encryption

i had this idea that a program can edit files in an encrypted environment. WinRaR with higher level of encryption would be the best way to describe it. but i was wonder if the files on a linux HDD or SDD are encrypted.

I do have this idea that you can save encrypted files to a cloud server and pull it out and unencrypted by a light weight program

    What is Charlie Kirk's legacy

Charlie Kirk's murder is a shock to me and prior to that I really have not thought about him for months (he apparently shared a stage with Hassan piker), of course the south Park parody.

I have ran into a few of Kirk's supporters and apparently his legacy is his family and his apparently endless college debates that get rephrased as "debated an entire generation" and governors.

To me, it seems like Kirk was just a content creator.

You can use transformers to add or subtract AC

I'm just following the rules of the community and this has. Been on my mind for the past few days . I used to be able to listen into law enforcement and even automated the process but they upgraded their system and encrypted their system.

Now I'm theorizing how I can track law enforcement different ways one of which is using a direction finding system. i could super technical and order a bunch of parts and have a desktop running all the time or I can try to dumb it down with analog composition.

I think it's cool that you can add AC with a ring of iron and winding wires in a specific way (the other way will subtract it)

Is key to mental health just persuing mental health

I've came to conclusion that I should do the things that will improve my mental health.

Like I do an intense run at night so that it's easier than running in the sun. I will do a consistently challenging run that always gives me consistent but not intense pain. It's working out and just a great way to practice mental fortitude.

I guess I just decided novel things are great

This is my blog about my experience at the first Fort Walton Beach, Florida (FWB) No Kings Day celebration. I heard about it from my dad, who mentioned going out there on a Saturday just to see if anyone showed up. I was surprised by the turnout, roughly 200 people showed up in this deep red area, and it was fun. I assume it’s how people feel attending concerts.

By the way, I’m not sure whether to call it a celebration, protest, or demonstration.

Preface: I didn’t prepare much. I brought a folding stool, a Palestinian flag, a painter's mask, and shooter earmuffs. I showed up over an hour late. Luckily, there were people handing out water and signs. Of course, the cops were present. I’ll link the only news coverage on the FWB event to provide more context. I wasn’t interviewed. What do you think about collecting your own data and running your own algorithms?

This is more about getting feedback/criticism for the idea that fedizens should run programs that monitor what they engage with similar to how Facebook,YouTube, or any corporate online service would simply so you can use it to run algorithms for find content you might like.

The key thing is that you only share the your data consentual at this point the data will stay locally stored.

I try to get a pulse anti algorithms crowd and it's hard to figure out if they're against algorithms generically or just specific platforms. People leave twitch because that also pushes people to be more commercial or capitalist.

The idea came up when I built peertube recommendation algorithm I got the part built for tracking watch time on peertube videos and I thought "track YouTube watch time and engagement to make peertube suggestions".

    Peertube video recommendation program

thinking about making a program that recommends videos that are on peertube. likes, titles, descriptions, and even closed caption can be collected locally and compared to the local users liked videos and watch time to rank videos the local user would like to watch.

later on there could be a server that people can willingly choose to send their data to build a better recommendation program.

I'm still in the research phase of this, but from my experience even implementing basic concepts would be effective

I know there is an anti algorithm crowd but this is opt in so this should be fine

Have you ever had someone get mad at you for asking why you shouldn't do something?

A specific example from me would be implementing LLM AI into my code (genetically) and without more details than that I'll get people demanding that I don't do that and giving suggestions for what I should do.

Suggestions are cool, but I'm gonna ask why I should not put LLM in my code in a generic sense just to have my question ignored or have lies and insults hurled my way

It's cool if you want to answer that question, I'm just curious about other people's similar story about receiving resistance to follow up questions if you just have to say those people aren't worth it or you feel like you missed something you shouldn't have in those situations.
