Local Event - Pengiucon Masquerade

I am apart of this opensource convention that happens every year since 2002 called Penguicon. however this year, we are not able to run the con because to finance and scheduling issues. We are running a masquerade ball to try an raise money for our 2026 con. In the past we have had guest like Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, and Eva Galperin.
What you did with that time is our own business. The only thing that matters is why your current skills are relevent for the job.
This is my exact feeling.
Maybe I am an odd duck, but when I have been the guy looking at resumes and shit, I made a note not to read peoples email addresses. I don't care if your email is cumdumpster19 I care if you know how to configure a firewall. But I think most people look for reason to round file a resume and not reasons to say yes to an applicant.
What is the implication for Lemmy and other federated platforms? Is running a Lemmy instance going to now come with a huge legal risk and moderation requirements that three people with day jobs can't handle?
The best part is the five bullets, that clearly indicates a lack of reading compression from Tue DOGE team. Every boss I have ever had who has wanted everything bullets, lacked the ability to read and understand anything. And it not like they don't care, if that were true they would tell them to right whatever and just fire people hap hazardously.
Musk paid to get Trump into office. Musk is there because of Musk.
When I was on help desk I often talked about meeting the client where they were at in their technical skill level. Sometimes their technical skill level was "Can you click the icon in the bottom left that looks like a window with four pains, and then click the settings icon it looks like a gear". If mounting a file share was involved I just remoted in, none of the people that called could handle those instructions.
Amazing!! I can click on something with some algorithm now shoving 1,500 similar thing down my throa. Also, feeds are not choked with people trying to farm "engagement" be any means neciesary.
