Years ago, controllers where almost unbreakable. Look at where we are now.
Python typing system is the reason of its huge flexibility, but as many other scripting language, it’s also what makes it so hard to optimize.
I have no idea how you can change that without bringing some “JIT-oriented” features inside the Python language itself.
I still hope for the best, but I’m unsure we will be able to see an efficient JIT system inside CPython soon.
PyPy had to rewrite the whole Python implementation in a JIT focused way, and even with that, they are (not uncommon) cases when PyPy is slower.
I remember when X4 Foundation was crap. Peoples states they will improve it.
It took few years, but they actually make it the best X ever.
Egosoft is a patient gamer company, they always deliver.
It's crazy how aggressive those practices are. When I compare to Steam that are still fair over the years.
Most of my objects are actually dataclasses.
Interesting. The important part to me is this:
The outside of the Switch is definitely exhausting more heat, which could suggest more heat is being taken away from the SOC and consequently cooling it down.
Dumb hypothesizes from a non-expert:
- You have cleaned dust during your modifications, making a better air Flow (more heat out, better internal thermal, better CPU performance).
- You have broken a thermal sensor and your switch is actually heating a lot while the sensor think it does not.
- Both ?

This afternoon, a friend brings its Switch with Mario Kart (she have the DLC on this Switch and another Switch at home) and had some message about update and shared DLC.
We actually could not play the DLC because the second Switch on its home was not uptodate and online.
Dunno what it means, but I suspect you could have some surprise if you have no access to your other Switch.
Yes, they previously hire a private detective for Switch emulator dev few years ago and did some intimidation. It’s illegal to do this (at least in EU). A company should use law, whatever reason it is.
I would love to know how this action will ends.
