This argument is so stupid I don't know why you got so many upvotes. It's nothing like the same situation. Men in general are physically stronger than women, men ARE generally more dangerous to women than women. Racism is the baseless belief that race determines the danger someone poses, but men are actually more dangerous to women in a very real way.
This one driver is possibly the worst driver ever, and gets to do it all again in 2.5 years because car culture seems to view driving as a fundamental right. He's the symptom of a messed up society.
Yes, in a nutshell. Tenet looks lovely, but the time consistency is appalling. The physics is also broken, and the whole thing just becomes a mess if you start thinking about it. There are very few consistent time travel films. Back to the Future is good, and the TV series Dark handles it brilliantly.
There's always money for war. The arms business model is basically planned obsolescence taken to the extreme. As soon as you use their product, you have to buy more. With that scheme, what sort of self respecting greedy psychopathic monster wouldn't want to blow everything up to rake in the money for themselves and their mates?
You can always find cases where cycling isn't suitable. The point was that the person in the original article could easily cycle, save loads of money, keep fit, and probably only have to leave about 10 minutes earlier. There will be millions of people in the UK in the same position but it's like a massive blind spot in the national psyche.
Why does it matter? I cycle 16 miles a day through the country. I'm a 58 year old, slightly overweight old fart, by the way. Get an electric bike and it's even easier. It's just stupid spending all that money on a car to do that sort of distance.
