  • I'm right still, you are wrong! Alpha is not problematic in any way. It's in the Bible (the best selling book on Earth, at least at one time), it's used in pop culture while not referring to the study in any way. So now annoying people use "alpha" just like "king" and "prince" and "the best" and "the greatest".

You'll all get over it soon, as usual. I promise.

p.s as per your question, yes I do know of it, as stated in my post that you responded to. I'm sorry that referring to it was an inadequate indicator that I knew of it, so I'm guessing your question is a joke? I mean, it's obvious.

  • It does! However, alpha still means "first", as it always has. The word predates the study by centuries.

  • I guess that depends on what you think qualifies as an achievement? So far we've had at least two massive protests and the local small protests that I see daily. Is "getting the message out" in person and expanding an achievement to you?

I don't think the protestors will achieve any real success like getting Trump out of office, but people are definitely protesting peacefully.

I don't think it will work but time will tell

  • The left has asked the working class to take on a disproportionate amount of burden

As has the right, this is because our options are theocratic or secular plutocracy, both are pro-corporate/billionaire

Democrats abandoned labor long ago, and Republicans never have been pro labor in my lifetime.

  • I see protesters every day.

  • Individuals can’t fight their way out of repressive regimes.

Where did you hear this? You are flat-out wrong, thousands of examples prove this statement to be totally untrue.

Also, there's usually much more to it than simply fighting, it's rarely "peaceful protest" or "fighting" alone.

  • Alpha means "first", it does not mean "wolf who fights other wolves while in captivity according to one study."

    Do people not know this?

  • It's not just Republicans, many independents (46%) voted for Trump, and millions of major party voters sat the last election out.

Independents are now the majority of voters at about 40%, D and R 30% each. I think it's because more and more people are rejecting our two-party system in the only legal way they can, anti-incumbency may be the new norm (I am an "I").

I am surprised that so many voted for Trump. A combination of contempt of government and news ignorance? If any voters "feel duped" I think the only explanation is that they are news-free people for whatever reason. Some people cannot deal.

  • Trump is just the symptom, he's not the disease. He has thousands of enablers and supporters throughout government, including the Supreme Court.

If we got rid of Trump tomorrow, the disease would remain; those thousands of people won't disappear. This could not happen in a healthy republic, we're far beyond that now. Super PACs rule and cash is king; both parties are not the same, but they are both bought.

Did you know that foreign countries can also "influence" our parties through Super PACs? Our representatives don't work for "us" any longer, we don't have enough cash to compete against multi-generational corporations and foreign governments.

And our only legal recourse is to ask our representatives to stop gorging themselves. They will not.
