  • People with the sort of knowledge that can stand real conversational scrutiny will just be versions of the people paying them that have failed to find their way. My guess this would not be about real discourse but gloating about serendipity which is ultimately unsettling and sets up the next visit.

  • Because young software developers like all apprentices are mostly not productive, their value is in their potential and it will not be understood what has been thrown away until a generation has been lost and there is no one with experience to lead. The gamble of course is that by then machines will be able to take on those positions too but it's a big gamble and even at best it's betting against people.

  • Look at the calibre of people that take those seats in Congress now, they hide and follow and know nothing else. The other sort of person who in the past would have led is weeded out early in their political career by a press owned by the people who own everything else.

  • Stop talking sense when has good sense ever been the solution of choice.

  • New Trumpian kamikaze policy.

  • No one is talking as to why they exist but rather why they are in the wild.

  • This is the triumph of short-termism, they are urinating in their water supply, people will just stop playing. There are just so many other things to do, training people to hate games is probably bad practice for game manufacturers.

  • A company like Microsoft would love this, the impetus might even be equally coming from that direction, for nudity scanning read just scanning. Their concern and limiting factor is the rich availability of alternative OS and the great unwashed just needing a reason to switch, this is not 95. If you are really worried about children you address the problem via parental obligation not forcing every adult to get into the habit of yielding personal identification to any service that asks. But everyone knows that, everyone knows what the plan is, most people view it with apathy because it is expected the powers that be will meet totalitarianism with the same degree of incompetence that they meet everything else with.
