  • The headline is misquoting him, the full quote is:

    “Well, because we all agree that it’s a tragedy having the school hit, and we all agree now for an investigation,” Fetterman said. “What I don’t agree with the rest of my colleagues in the House is that it’s a war of choice, or it’s dumb, or all the things my colleagues have described, you know, this operation. I think it’s a good thing, and I support that.”

    Still glaringly stupid, but the headline makes it seem like he's in denial it happened. He didn't say the words "leftist" or "craze"

  • I know you're getting a million suggestions and to be clear- nothing is wrong with Mint, but I recommend Fedora Kinoite as a first distro if you're coming from Windows. KDE is going to be more familiar and the way the backend is designed makes it basically impossible to meaningfully break.

    I was never big into youtube but when I deleted Instagram all my friends just started messaging me the good memes instead. It's great.

    I honestly wouldn't say much has changed in a mental health way but also... not much has changed. So I have zero desire to download it again.

  • I honestly feel that online Linux communities are the biggest barrier to more widespread adoption. As with any online space, unless the people in charge want to ban toxicity, it will always, always, take over any community.
