If anything having a competent and powerful anti corruption investigative tool would help them fight Russia given the problems with corruption faced by the Ukranian military. Like do you think the Russians have every news agency in the west questioning this by the balls so they'll say that making an corruption agency less independent is bad?
Are you not taking it seriously as in you dont believe its happening, or not taking it seriously as in you don't believe its a big deal?
It would be cool to see some anti colonialist solidarity in the region again. Although it being theoretically aligned and spearheaded by an organisation created in part to destroy anti colonialist unity is iffy.
