Thank you thank you, yea we already tried repairing it but didn't get that to work unfortunately. Nonetheless, thanks for the advice, I'll be looking for one that matches then.
Can anyone explain what the difference between these 2 similar motherboards are?
Hi, first post on reddit in general but couldn't think of anywhere else to ask, this is for the motherboard of an AIO PC my family's been using, it got damaged and I've been trying to source a replacement. https://www.ebay.com/itm/156622853448
This matches it perfectly, but the majority of Boards that come up when I look up "Dell 7700 i7-1165G7 Motherboard" or some variant do not as seen here
https://www.ebay.com/itm/404654665907 The difference in question is besides the CPU die and below the CMOS battery. There's like 3 controllers(?) amongst other things that are on mine/the first link's mobo but aren't on the rest. The descriptions on most of these listings aren't very helpful in finding out the difference either. Just wanted to know what I should be looking for or how much this matters(or just a link to actual documentation on the board, failed to find Dell's own site myself but could have missed it).
Hmmm yea if they still bother going after such a frontend then they likely lose something anyway, didn't know about this. Thanks
Thank you, that's a rather comprehensive answer! Just wanted and idea from someone more knowledgeable on the subject.
What's the point of Privacy Frontends that support loggin in with your normal accounr?
Hello, while I use frontends where possible in place of the original websites/apps I do find it interesting that some of them, mostly referring to the Youtube ones still allow you to login normally? I understand this is to bypass blocks and that in theory the frontend still tries to limit what it sends back to Google but in practice how does this work without killing the privacy aspect?
This project looks super cool! Seems like it'll be my best bet moving forward. Thank you.
Nah, I've just heard some keep features like ANC and stuff locked there. Never really owned a pair myself so I wanted to ask for more info first.
Really glad to hear all the advice so far too! I'll look into the recommendations given so far.
Any Non Invasive TWS Earbuds/Manfuacturers?
Hi, title's rather explanatory I think but I was considering getting a pair of TWS buds for convenience sake since cables are sometimes not an option for me. But I know a lot of modern buds make you get apps that request a large amount of questionable permissions(even if you deny them, the requests in and of itself feels like a red flag) and likely send your data away. So I was wondering if there were any options that were cleaner. Thanks for the help!
What is "http://googleadsservice.online/"
Hi, while I know the link name may be... self-explanatory. I cannot seem to find any actual information on this link and it was strangely not blocked by my NextDNS(and other services) configuration. I'll explain the full story here:
So in April, ago I set up NextDNS and added it to my devices, it worked fine and blocked several in app ads. Then comes today, the game which had it's ads blocked the entire time which was also blocked by other DNS provider I was using before like Adguard and Mullvad suddenly has it's ads pop up again. I thought this was weird so I tried switching over back to AdGuard and Mullvad to see if my config was missing something. The ads still came up on opening the game So I re-added my NextDNS to my phone and checked the logs on their website, everything was fine besides the afromentioned "http://googleadsservice.online/" which wasn't blocked, the name seemed pretty on the nose so I added it to my Denylist and voila, no more ads. But I checked the logs for the URL and it turns out it's been a thing completely unblocked since I first set up?? That is to say there are several pages worth of the URL going through on my logs. I tried looking up the URL but found nothing. So I was hoping someone knew exactly what this was and why none of the DNS providers seem to block it. Thanks in advance
