  • No, I acknowledge no system is perfect and some of them are assigned specifically to places where natives commonly live by a bunch of suits in Ottawa. Here, it's a political issue, not a policing issue. That doesn't excuse anything, abusive RCMP officers are scum as you say, but that doesn't mean that cops are universally or inherently evil.

  • Maybe so, but at least here people are willing to fucking put themselves between a cop and a Native Canadian they try to abuse, take it to court and the news and the internet, and generally remind people that it's not perfect here either. Also note that my location probably has better treatment of natives than the areas natives live, which is a problem caused by politicians just like it originally was in the US. At least we try to keep it in check and don't deny it happens.

  • In the US, absolutely. Fortunately it doesn't have to be that way, however I do not think there is any coming back from the police being the direct successors of slave patrols. Best for the states to just separate into several nations and eventually form some sort of EU-like economic pact, otherwise North America will be the new Africa.

  • Time we started making anti-money instead. The more you invest per period of time, the less privileges and opportunities you are allowed depending on how much anti-money you're saddled with until you die.

Oh, you don't like that this penalizes tall poppies? I am a tall poppy. The rich cut ME off. Why? Because I was never rich but I had skill and talent and I hate people who abuse authority. Because the rich don't care about tall poppies, they care only about THEIR legacy. Fuck the shears and the gardener, everyone.

  • I don't think he's disagreeing with you, he's saying that the law has said "No, police are just somehow allowed to do whatever they want and fuck you." and that's grounds for violent revolution because THEY JUST SHOT A KID. THEY WILL SHOOT YOUR KIDS. IF YOU ARE UNDER 18, THEY WILL KILL YOU.

  • Please at least know that's not inherently the case. I've never been treated unfairly by the RCMP, but then Canada is my country, not yours, so I can understand you've probably never seen a cop who actually helped people. Police in the US are fucking awful, but that's by design and not by trait.

  • Where's the rest of the video? He actually explained the legal basis (or rather, lack thereof) behind this. Services are not allowed to be certain things which "games as a service" are, thus proving that games are goods and "games as a service" is theft.

  • Was annoyed, then confused, then I see what you mean. Yeah, he's got no intention of actually bringing dignity back to the workplace, but some people would be willing to work if jobs were treated in a dignified way. As it is, tipping alone has ruined any possibility that the US would ever let the people "take away" the ability of rich people to have servants.

  • The Go S is basically the OneXPlayer F1 (a.k.a the "OneXFly"). I've also noticed that sales of the F1 series had occured frequently and they no longer seem to promote it now that the F1 Pro is out for a while. I can only guess the two companies are having a de facto handoff, trading the market share by swapping the roles of their primary devices.

  • That and the entire gamerdeck form factor that arrived along with it. I use a boutique Chinese deck (OneXPlayer, but I hear others are good too), and there's numerous Western options like the Ally, the Legion Go, and the Claw.

One thing that made me choose a Chinese device of all things was that the Legion Go S didn't exist at the time. Ergonomics are important for something like these and everything else was painful to use for extended periods. Still using the OXP device as my daily driver as I don't yet see reason to upgrade.
