Same! I love the steamdeck and think it’s almost perfect. So I’ll just wait for the next one to upgrade. I’d probably just upgrade to show support for the project.
But firstly, I’m happy to see Linux growing.

Pre-configured hardware with pre-installed Linux is the best way to expand. The technical side of driver support and gaming support is solved already (besides one specific kind of games, but thats another topic for another day). The biggest hurdle for people is to try Linux and set it up themselves. Only a few nerds go this far. It's amazing right now!

New Go's won't have detachable controllers? That's unfortunate. I use mine like a tablet. There's no other small Linux-capable tablet that I know of.
edit: actually onexplayer makes similar ones.

Detachable controllers are one of the good points of the switch as well. Definitely think that idea should spread.

The Go S is basically the OneXPlayer F1 (a.k.a the "OneXFly"). I've also noticed that sales of the F1 series had occured frequently and they no longer seem to promote it now that the F1 Pro is out for a while. I can only guess the two companies are having a de facto handoff, trading the market share by swapping the roles of their primary devices.

It would be nice to have direct comparison between Windows and SteamOS on same hardware, performance wise and also how many purchases.
