  • I stand corrected, thanks! I always assume they're finding a way to directly enrich themselves further, because they often are.

  • But isn't it true that whatever they don't pay in taxes via writeoffs, they get to keep and use however they want? They might choose not to give themselves a bigger bonus with those savings on taxes, but....I do doubt it for some reason

  • Well they will make the donation, but they'll do it with your money, and then they'll take the tax deduction for it, and reward themselves with a nice fat end of year bonus from the tax savings. Isn't capitalism fun?

  • Was the Titanic pretty cool?

  • Please explain English to me in a way that "no one was starving" and "there was one famine" aren't contradictory

  • You literally said "no one was starving" though

  • He's like 16 years old dude, he's not leading a vigilante assault squad. He may have never punched a guy before. I guarantee within that school the Nazi is getting a lot more ridicule and bullying for being punked like a removed than the kid that punked him. Whether he broke his face completely or not.

  • They've mastered the art of getting people to pay attention to them. Neither of them give a single fuck about the super bowl halftime show

  • hostis hominum

  • Well that answers my question of how this got past an editor, even in the 70s

  • And I am one of those 👍

  • Yes I've only visited, and every interaction I had was pleasant, but that's obviously a case study of 1. Didn't know Utah was such a violent place!

  • Utah is actually one of the most beautiful states in the US! The people are a little odd, but very nice. Which was actually my experience in Germany as well, so maybe it's not far off ha

  • Well that's fair then. I do clean my floors once a week. Maybe they're dirtier than others' on average, but I think I'd clean them once a week no matter how much dirt there is. So I guess to me it doesn't make a noticeable difference, but I would agree that wearing shoes indoors objectively brings more dirt into the house.

  • I'm sick less than most of my friends on average and I wear shoes indoors when it's more convenient than taking them off. Germaphobes can hate it but I hardly think it's really that bad for anyone's health

  • I suppose we'll see, I just have a feeling the dust is still settling and cards are being held. But I may be naive, I have been before

  • No need to apologize, it's something easy to confuse, I learned it from someone correcting me once. Cheers!

  • How about we treat him like other "criminals" in the us and stop asking nicely. Go put an officer near his vehicle with a loaded weapon while he pulls out of a parking spot

  • I haven't seen that the officers were identified in Prettis murder. I'd be nervous to charge a federal officer who will have federal defense attorneys on video evidence alone when the fed has everything else I need. But I'm not a lawyer. I was just saying they clearly would like to press charges from what I've seen. I think they will, but are trying to make sure they don't get screwed in court first. They have open lawsuits to ensure evidence doesn't get destroyed by the fed. Why would they do that with no intent to charge?
