His stories really helped humanize (gotta be a better for for that) the Ferengi. Like, yes they were cartoonishly greedy little jerks, but they also have individuality within their culture.
Ten Forward is just a relaxing environment. There are a few people who have uploaded ambient/atmospheric trek videos on youtube (usually something like "10 hours of the TNG warp core room"). There's a Ten Forward one I've put on in the background quite a few times.
Right. And a simple tailor as he was, did he fit in with his complicated peers in tailor school?
I'd heard it had mixed reviews... I'm someone who will power through the stinkers if I have to though.
Scenes in Ten Forward always feel so cozy, and nobody would be trying to rip you off. Lol
That's where I'd personally want to hang out too.
I still need to see Picard. I honestly have only watched TOS, TNG, and DS9 a billion times for some reason, and I have a lot of catching up to do.
Hey! I love your avatar.
Think it's a syncing problem? Lemm.ee is pretty big, so it probably pulls more content with its larger userbase.
I'm admittedly new, but I thought that was the difference between Hot and Active.
Active is for any activity, so comments on a 3y post are fair game. It's actually kind of a cool filter that offers the classic "forum" style that revives old posts, rather than the reddit style of "anything older than 12 hours is dead to everyone"
See you then!
As it should.
It's more time efficient, space efficient, and it allows people to have freedom of movement, which means that jobs won't tie everyone to the highest cost of living areas.
I wonder what kind of carer/child ratios they have. 1 to 10-20 seems unsafe.
I think if someone went all out with making some sort of bizarre simulator game like this, people would play it. Like, don't even try to make it fun or add a story or anything, just make it as real as you can.
Wholesome. Gotta make due with whatever you can.
Sorry mom.
I agree. It's just also fun to make fun of it, lol
It's weird, because I'm subscribed to a TON. Hundreds of communities at least. I can't imagine that it's running out so quickly.
I don't think it's entirely the app. I've had it happen to my Lemmy.world account using Jerboa and Connect, so I think this must be them working on stuff after the hack.
I'm just going to use accounts other than my one on lemmy.world for a bit while they sort out whatever's going on.
We did it folks!
Oh wow! My bad, I'm a Linux novice. I just subbed because I'm interested in getting started.
