Zelensky thanks America for four minutes straight

>During his visit to Washington on Feb. 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky had a heated exchange with U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance over ways to end Russia's war against Ukraine. Trump and Vance have repeatedly claimed that Zelensky has not been sufficiently grateful for U.S. support throughout the war. The Kyiv Independent has compiled instances where Zelensky has publicly expressed gratitude to the U.S., its people, and its leadership for being Ukraine’s largest supporter.

MT Space’s open mic and community potluck event is back! Kicking the year off, we're inviting families of artists and performers of all ages to come showcase your talents and projects. We're inviting anyone - including kids and youth - to sing, dance, or just update us on what you’ve been working on lately. There will even be crafts table available for anyone wanting to get hands on or just chill with some crayons.

This is a casual community platform for those who are just starting out but also professionals. Whether you're a child or an adult, we ask that all sharings be kept PG-13 for this edition of TELL!

    WHEN: Feb 18, 2025 | Doors 5 PM | Event 5:30 PM

    About TELL!

TELL! is MT Space's coffeehouse open-mic style event offering the community an artistic platform to share their works in a casual setting. These sharings can be performances, stories, lectures, poetry, drag, fine art displays -- any type of creation.

We know that art and food bring people together like nothing else. Join us for a potluck meal and bring a food offering* to share if you're able to. We'll provide plates, cutlery, and beverages (coffee, tea, and water). Help us reduce waste by bringing in your own reusable cups, bottles, and mugs for water and coffee!

*Please include an ingredients list for any dishes you bring.

Use this as an opportunity to get feedback from an engaged audience of fellow artists and community members, or simply show us what you've got! Bring anything you may need for your performance/presentation, including amps for instruments.

Even if you don’t have anything to present now, come and share a meal with the community. Come dressed in your sweats, or as a fairy princess, this is a space to express yourself however you see fit. This is the community platform.

    About the Venue

TELL! will be hosted at First United Church (16 William St W, Waterloo, ON). Enter through the side door connected to the parking lot marked WEEKDAY ENTRANCE (access via Caroline St and William St, around the corner from Valentina Bridal & Couture dress shop).

Free parking is available on-site (accessible from Caroline St), and next door at the Waterloo Town Square South Parking lot (35 Alexandra Ave, Waterloo).

  • Why does a mastodon user get completely different profiles and history when viewed from different lemmy instances? They look like 2 completely different users when compared except for having the same @address. In fact this makes them immune from moderation if they comment from a different instance than the mod is on.

  • Almost got run over today crossing the road and I’m so angry
  • Truth is a defence for slander/libel. Her coming that close to killing a pedestrian, and being so demonstrably... 'unconcerned' about it would be the obvious rebuttal. Also, it being an excited utterance under stress would strain the claim that any reasonable person would believe the statement was factual, and hence, isn't slanderous.

  • Did !ukraine@sopuli.xyz go down recently?
  • I changed the community to NSFW because people were complaining that drone footage cutting to static was NSFW and displaying in 'All'.

Edit: To be clear I do not think this is NSFW and would gladly revert to not-NSFW if admins and community don't care about the inevitable complaints.

  • I don't think so. Got it from a royalty-free site.

I flipped the image r to left think it would look better on the right bar where you usually see it and that might be what's weird.

Edit: oh, I think I f'd with the tint or something to make it a F up as a joke.
